Great analysis. Dustin is just better fighting at range, he showed that the first time they fought. Gaethje is better than when they first fought, but Dustin will likely edge it out.
What a great comment. These two men are my go-to examples that there are levels when it comes even to things like winning the interim belt, those wins, undisputed belt or not, were truly world class and eternal.

One of my favorite fighters right here. I like Justin too though. Hard to pick a winner. I can see it going either way. There will be no losers, both are true savages in there.
4:50 that genuinely changes everything. There’s a 0-5 percent chance he spent 16 hours a day in that tent all camp which is what’s needed to make those tents work. If he genuinely didn’t do anything for the elevation and just got here…. That’s not gonna end well given Justin trains at altitude full time.
This guy is the man. All around good guy, family man, there for kids, using his platform for other things. People should look to him and the struggles he's overcome to find greatness.
4:56 "I did the last 2 weeks at 5k feet, at altitude" What is with these fighters and their teams being so ignored to altitude man. Jan and Michel Perier both on Embedded saying they came out like a week early to acclimate to the altitude. It's like these guys did a Google search and saw 1-3 days and assumed that's the rule and didn't do further research. You need 4-6 weeks at altitude to fully acclimate to altitude. You need a couple weeks prior to physical competition and proper training and 4-6 weeks to be fully acclimatized. It's unbelievable how many professional athletes don't do the proper research and do this.
It’s not research most of the time but rather they don’t have a really good place to train if they are fighting in a place like this. 4-6 weeks before the fight there is a lot of training and lot of sparring. Getting everyone and everything to somewhere else for 6 weeks is gonna be extremely expensive. Imagine how much housing alone will cost for 6 weeks.
@@redlizerad8268 I disagree. Yes, it's obvious they'd need to bring at least a couple sparring members and one coach out that early and the rest could trickle in. I'm aware of what would be required, and yes it could be too expensive for some early prelim fighters, but not the guys at the top of the card. Poirier, Gaethje, Wonderboy, Jan, Perier, Lewis, and Holland are all millionaires. Money isn't the reason they can't do it. And they don't need a hotel. They'd do like most fighters do for their team anyway and get an Air B&B or timeshare property. It wouldn't cost that much. But regardless of the Money and logistics, the reason I disagree and believe it's that they don't know, is because Dustin had his altitude tent at home and still used it for only two weeks. He knew about the fight with enough time to do more than that, and that's from the comfort of his home. Secondly, the fighters aren't say they know they needed more time to acclimate but couldn't get it done logistically. They're talking like they're doing the exact thing they're supposed to do. They're literally saying they're "fully acclimated" in just a week. The way the talk and it definitely suggests they think they're doing exactly what's necessary. It's not just this card either. There's been multiple cards at altitude. Even recently, remember the altitude zapping so many if the fighters on that last SLC card? Leon Edwards and Rockhold and all of them. Before the first they were all saying they were acclimated and came early to do so. They all thought they were good to fight and had done enough. They gassed because it wasn't early enough.

I believe Dustin is one of the best human beings in the world. He seems like such a genuine and stand up guy! That's why he is one of my top 3 favorite fighters.
He seems to be having trouble breathing already. That place dries you out in your sinuses and throat. Last time my family went a few of us got bloody noses and we’re from Florida too. It doesn’t matter how tough you are the altitude gets the best of pure cardio athletes too. I’ve seen hockey players appear like they’re going in slow motion when playing in Denver. Dustin’s nose seems like it’s more bent over on his face now too. If you really watch this you can tell his nose is bothering him and he’s mouth breathing. So not good if your nose is more over and it’s restricting your breathing and that dry thin air is taking a toll because i live here in Florida and our air is thick and moist-especially in July. Not to mention Justin just had his nose fixed so he can breathe better. Dustin better act quick because the clock is ticking either way on his cardio crashing out of nowhere-it doesn’t matter if you try and conserve it still a ticking clock on you-so he needs to go quick and Justin will let this tick on a little so Dustin gets exhausted & heavy.

Dustin is the violence champion, crowned after the round Robin he shared with Alvarez gaethje and chandler.
That has to be the nicest watch I've ever seen.
Can’t wait for a dustin poirier documentary
This dude has come really far! He’s a frickin stud, great boxer. Should be a war
Rewatching it, Dustin was hurt a lot in the first fight, but Justin kept fighting reckless and kept pushing forward. The version of Justin that beat Rafael Fiziev on the feet and was technical will put up a better fight this time around.
Why does everyone hate Dustin so much now what did I miss???
" I feel like I can suffer more than these guys" Amen to that sir, made my day.
