There would be some pucker moments in that, my lux only has a 2 inch lift and 32's and it needs to be slow and steady around any roundabout or tight turning track, even my old work lux 2wd xcab like to slip and slide, although the 4.0 L petrol in it contributed a bit to that
Its no bloody use though is it when you get a defect and cant get the car back on the road because no one will sign it off. I do agree that aussie rules on 4x4s are abit silly. Bigger wheels and wider track with a bit of lift is arguably safer then scrubbing all your under body due to small wheels and no lift. And they cant argue pedestrian safety when every vehicle has a roo bar anyway
@@adambaxendale3654 i know right im looking a buying another 2006 duel cab 4d4 , low ks , look at one tomorrow 145.000ks , serviced log book woop woop , any way while looking on gumtree a guy had a single cab nissan gu in moruya nsw , 6 inch lift kit 37inch muddies lol , rego no engineers cert idiot was asking 20.000 with 500.000 because of all the suspension modes hahahahahhaahhahahha good luck to who ever buys it
@@nightrunnernightrunner2474 yeah mate i dont get it. Id bloody love a mint GU on a set of 40s or something like these arctic trucks but its just going to be impossible to import an arctic truck or get anything signed off. Think there needs to be a petition to change the rules mate. Big wheels for the win. 30 years ago it may have been dangerous but with modern day suspension and brakes etc. Its all safe.
@@adambaxendale3654 i agree mate , there is a great range of after market suspensions out there ,better then the manufactures , i called a engineer company last week at sydney to get help with a 6 inch kit for my lux , companys was very helpful , NOW HE IS THE PROBLEM , i have to do all the modes ,some through them , then they book a swerve test at eastern creek to see if its stable in traffic , if its fails no certification , THEY WILL TRY SOME ENGINEERING AGAIN to try and right the problem of swerve testing , so i just blew 100000000s on nothing hahahahhaha , was told not to bother unless i won lotto , i mean i need a rig for eyre peninsula ,york peninsula ,the nulla nulla ,lucky bay coffin bay so on ,getting old 56 this year hahahahah dont wont to be digging it out every day lol
he said 136kw at the wheels. which is alot for a hilux lol. u spastics are talking about 147kw standard at the flywheel (which has no resistance.). which is very different lol a ranger dosnt put 147kw on the road... the hilux is probly 200+kw at the flywheel.
Is it only me that feels the bed is a waste of space. But I guess each to their own when it come to mods. I would be straight up necessity mode, front seat is my bed.
