I'll take built over bought any day. I've gone faster but never had more fun driving a car. Especially when they're built like this, they're very quick and nothing to scoff at.
My mate has an immense build with an aux fuelling system, fully fully built and fully sleeved, ported manifold you name it he has done it. When he asked the dodgy pumaspeed guys for a wuote of power on bis build they said no more than 380bhp despite the fact that on the website the time they quoted 450bhp. As always, puma is making itself look silly. Its known that for that 398bhp car they used race fuel and happy dyno. 😂 Claiming to hit 398 on stock engine with only injectors is possible - for 5 minutes. The amount of heat both their hybrids and this x57 produces is silly. The cylinders just crack, and lets not get on to the state of the fuel pump with their shim. Your chasing numbers with big psi? Just ho big turbo, achieve the power but with less rail/boost pressure for longevity surely?
@@greggsmith5391 maybe in the bends but I’m saying for stage 4 that is slow as others have said too, plus my focus st has 555nm of torque so yeah I think I’d leave you in a straight mate haha
@@greggsmith5391 you should get someone else to map that to try and increase the torque, that’s what made my st a hell of a lot faster, was running 297bhp and 420nm before now it’s running over 300 but with 555nm and WHAT A DIFFERENCE in acceleration
@euanrankin7260 am running 365bhp at the moment can't take too much torque as the engines not built just standard internals. Would need to swap it out for a built engine. Turbos far to big for the car to be fair huge intercooler too so get crazy lag.

I just went from stock to stage 4 with the x57 mate. Cracking turbo I enjoy it mate.

Pumaspeed is fine. I’ve got an x57 making 350bhp with zero issues at 16k miles so far
