Jazzy pop music, reminiscent of Glen Miller, himself. This guy, Graeham Goble the guitarist in LRB, wrote a masterpiece of a pop song, and it is performed so beautifully here. One of the best pop songs of all time, IMO. A 1970's classic.
Mr. Shorrock, your voice is timeless over the decades. I’ve loved it since I first heard it way back in the late 70’s in college. That was a long time ago. Nice trumpet too!

talk about growing into a song, from inexperience to experience, wonder if Graeham had the forethought, or was just gifted it, to share with the world. BRAVO thank you
Saw LRB at the Nashville Tennessee State Fair around 1978 or '79. It was my first concert. I was a senior in high school and after seeing them live, I was hooked. They still sound fantastic here but I cannot help but get emotional when I think of how fast time has gone since that time. They're old, Im old but Im just thankful I lived in an era with some of the best music ever.
They hadn’t gotten huge as far as their fame goes when I saw them but that definitely followed. Yes Tony, I agree. I am so happy that I lived through the prime of my life with the best music!!! It’s what plays in my home 24/7😉Hope you have a great day.
@@cinnamongirl7877 You, too, Ma'am. :) Edit: I thought I'd add this little recount. Years ago, my daughter was getting ready to have her 12th birthday. My wife and I gave her a choice: 3 days at Kings Dominion in Virginia, or to see Night Ranger, Foreigner, and Journey, in concert. Of course, she picked the concert. She sang along to almost every Journey song that was played. I think I've done a few things right. You take care. :)
Birtles Shorrock Goble are an Australian pop/rock group composed of the three original singers and songwriters of Little River Band, namely Beeb Birtles, Glenn Shorrock and Graeham Goble. The members are known for their extensive writing and performance of hit songs and distinctive vocal harmonies. They are sometimes referred to by the initials BSG.
Hi Jim! As soon as I saw the song you were showcasing I heard the music in my head! Just one of those songs you don’t forget! They really could harmonize beautifully! Thanks so much for this gorgeous song on a warm summer day! Perfect song to just reflect on days gone by! Makes me smile! Hugs! Suzi🙂
Hi Suzi! Great song from a great band, for sure. So glad it made you smile. Smiles are hard to come by in these times. Thanks so much for your great comment...it made me smile :)) Best wishes. Jim
Such a timeless tune from the 70s. As a trumpet player, I was so happy to hear they not only had a fine player do the solo, but actually gave him an extra chorus and let him take the tune out.
LRB (little river band) lead by Glenn Sherrock. A fabulous Oz band, among many that gave us some great timeless songs attached to memories of the era when we were innocently content. If you were not happy but you were not sad, if you were not smiling, you were not angry, if you were in a hurry, but you were not stressed and so on, because we always knew that tomorrow was going to be better, and it was the time of "real" sense of community and friendship where everyone noticed others and others noticed you with added social interaction at all levels, unlike how we live today, individually and alone amongst millions in a deafening silence in our metropolises we over built that is now turning us into semi artificial intelligence in turn. Where did we go wrong? I miss those days of the land called once "the lucky country" that encouraged us with slogans and campaigns like "Life, be in it today".. Now its more like put your mask on, get vax, obey trillion other rules that came with this age. Does anybody feel the same way as i do or am i getting old, nearing to 60 ?
LRB came to the Tanana Valley State Fair, in Fairbanks, Alaska about 3-4 years ago, but it wasn’t the original 3 like this one. They were alright. But, I think this current lineup would have been great to listen to.
I was reading about how the high court of Australia said BSG aren't allowed to call themselves LRB although they are allowed to heavily imply they were originally in LRB. Why is the guy who controls the LRB name being a dick about it?
His voice has not changed. He still sounds excellent!!!!!!!!! Beautiful singer ❤️
Not the original singer. Still a great singer.
@@BryanStacey Yes it is
@@BryanStacey That is the one and only Glenn Shorrock, original lead singer of the one and only Little River Band!
Sweetrocks85 is correct
Glenn Shorock left the band many years ago....look it up...he still sings it from what I saw online....it's confusing.

My God his voice is still incredible!!
FEW....very few, singers keep their pipes like Glenn has. I was not expecting anything like this. Would love to see this lineup.
Wowww!!! Got a goosebumps to hear the old boys YET THEIR VOICES ARE STILL YOUNG, MAGNIFICENT AND NEVER FADED !! MY SNAPPY SALUTE TO YOU SIRS-LRB !
I have a hard time trying to think of a band I like better. Eagles maybe??
One of my all time favorite bands. I love this song. His voice is great decades later!
Thank God for a real flugelhorn.
All this time i thought it was a sax. Now i know.
Mr. Shorrock, your voice is timeless over the decades. I’ve loved it since I first heard it way back in the late 70’s in college. That was a long time ago. Nice trumpet too!
Still one of my favorite songs. ❤
Mine, Too! Thanks so much for watching :))

I know it is quite off topic but does anyone know a good site to stream new series online ?
@Jayce Hayes Flixportal :)
@Eden Ameer thanks, I went there and it seems like a nice service :) I appreciate it!!
@Jayce Hayes Glad I could help xD
I love how Shorrock takes the melody down to suit his older vocals. Masterpiece
His voice is more matured and big. I love this song so much. I always enjoyed listening to 70's music
Shorrocks voice transcends beyond the times- unreal 🙏thank you for sharing
Thank you so much for watching, listening and commenting!
What a vocalist!!
Facts! 🗣️🎶
What incredibly great music! I love these voices, this music, listening to the Little River Band never gets too much. Thank you so much!
Friday night, it was late, I was walking you home
We got down to the gate and I was dreaming of the night
Would it turn out right
How to tell you girl
I want to build my world around you
Tell you that it's true
I want to make you understand I'm talkin' about a lifetime plan
That's the way it began, we were hand in hand
Glenn Miller's Band was better than before
We yelled and screamed for more
And the Porter tunes (Night and Day)
Made us dance across the room
It ended all too soon
And on the way back home I promised you'd never be alone
Hurry, don't be late, I can hardly wait
I said to myself when we're old
We'll go dancing in the dark
Walking through the park and reminiscing
Friday night, it was late, I was walking you home
We got down to the gate and I was dreaming of the night
Would it turn out right
Now as the years roll on
Each time we hear our favorite song
The memories come along
Older times we're missing
Spending the hours reminiscing
Hurry, don't be late, I can hardly wait
I said to myself when we're old
We'll go dancing in the dark
Walking through the park and reminiscing
Best song of all time. Came out when I was a senior in high school. Still love it!!!! Tfs!
Amazing. Grew up in the late 70's and early 80's and this song has always been my #1

Great live performance. trumpet solo.. 🔥
I think John Lennon said this was his favourite pop song, I don't think you can get higher praise than that, just a beautiful song.
That flugelhorn section is everything ‼
Love, love, love these incredibly talented musicians! Always will be a favorite band of mine!
Loved the flugelhorn solo!

Where was this concert? In north corea? The audience is so calm. They should freak out listening to that cool flugelhorn solo!

Feels like 78😊
Who’s the hottie on the trumpet! Yowza!!

I give them credit for keeping it going but I was not appreciative of the fact of the ruckus they caused with Wayne Nelson and the Guys
