You all probably dont give a damn but does someone know a tool to get back into an instagram account?
I was dumb forgot my login password. I love any tricks you can offer me
@Will Ezra Instablaster ;)
Best of luck to you Kev, this is going to need more than an air freshener!
Hi Daggerwin love your videos
Daggerwin hello
hay daggerwin
never expected to see you hear lol like both yours and kev's content kepp up the good work for keeping us entertained during all of this mess
Remember to wear a respirator mask when dealing with mold if that gets in your lungs you are done for
The change in content from you this year is crazy well done Kev tee good luck for 2021
Best to take the sunroof out and seal it back up,There renowned for leaking between sunroof and roof skin,Done a few over the years,no more wet front seats.
Great kev you watch Rob from salvage rebuilds that's good channel to watch have great day kev
Kev make sure you check the head gasket, Clio’s have habit of blowing them at about 98,000 miles, check for a cream substance inside the oil filler cap. Good luck mate you’re gonna need it! 👏🏻👍🏻😷
Not a bad little project. Always good to learn on something cheap
if you can raid your yard for interior bits your laughing, fix sunroof 1st to stop any more water getting in, run a dehumidifier to ry out the inside, full engine service, clean and detail. budget 300 quid tops for parts and consumables, flog for 500
Great little project car Kev, like a lot of the cars you collect, it's well worth saving looking forward to seeing you work on her
Great first car project car. Simple and cheap little run around. When finished should sell well if that's what your plan is .
looking forward to watching the progress with this, nice one kev.
Your a brave man not many people can say they have a swimming pool in there car. Good luck Kev
Kev I think you know a man to ask advice from, Rob and Chris (Salvage rebuilds) Rob is a master at cleaning a grubby car or van
Fair play to you Kev for doing different things on your channel. Been following the trucking stuff for a while, but cool to see you doing this kind of stuff, too.
It’s sad to see it in this state, and think someone was once really excited to go and receive this car from Renault.
Good luck!
Watch 'salvage rebuilds' n ask him for any advice his a co part buyer n does it for a living
Definitely worth fixing up kev, both my boys had one as their first car. Great wee motor.
Nice little motor kev it'll clean up very well and make a new owner happy for as long as that car lives 😁👍🏻
Good luck with the project Kev, as there is a swimming pool inside the car you will need to check the floor pans and remove all the carpets so it can dry out.
I am sure that you can get another sun roof for the cars you pick up on your travels and a new interior.
Good luck with your project car, I had one of those cars for a while and the good little town run about and mine also loved a nice long motorway journey, I look forward to seeing your progress Kev.
You’ve got yourself a Mk2 Renault Clio Phase 1. That’s gonna be a decent run around car when it’s sorted
Oh dear that definately needs some love!I got some stuff off of Amazon called the Headlight Doctor on my headlights as they got picked up on every Mot.Not this time though after using that saves all the using a drill bit on them and think it only cost me about 7 quid or so.You just literally put it on and after leaving for a bit buff it off with bit of elbow grease. My car is an oldish one same age as that so might save you bit of time when you get that far.Was gutted it wasn't the Hyundai Coupe from the other week though!!xx
great little project car, looking forward to the updates and seeing what fish you catch in the inbuilt pond
Hmmm my neighbour has one of those and calls it the renault colander. I've seen him resealing the sunoof on more than one occasion. Good Luck.
I ran it and it has a nice chequered past for M.O.T. Hope it all goes well for the new owner. All the best to you Kev
Great starter project, needs a lot of cleaning and definitely the addressing of the water ingress issue. Look forward to progress. Happy Christmas to you and yours. 🎅🏻🎄
Gonna be a good little car when fixed! Water issues remind me of my Fabia I got for free with leaky rear doors!
Nice one.. same color as three of my past cars.. always ended up with blue..
This Is cool can't wait to follow your progress 😊
Synthetic oil and a new filter to start with. Maybe a coolant flush. Nice little car, just needs some tlc and a few trips to the auto parts store. I am glad you saved it from the crusher!
The common Clio sunroof issue . Take the whole sunroof unit out . Clean the roof and the sunroof frame and then apply mastic around the frame before refitting it .
Why this car? Is it worth saving? Depends if you can get good used parts. What is the car going to be worth? An old French car with water ingress. Potentially you could be fighting a losing battle with the electrics now. You haven't partnered with HubNut have you?
"old french car" Lol, old but still reliable as fuck. These Clios were the real troopers. They still roam around with basic maintenance.
Ayyy, i've got a mk2 clio. Mines an 04 (ph3) but they're very similar (yours being ph1).
Few things to do:
Seal that sunroof off. They all leak. Seal it off. Much easier.
Take the tail lights off, and silicone around where the wires come through as the rear lights leak water into the boot, and some people find this along with the sunroof can cause the wet footwells.
Silicone around the boot stops (little rubber bits next to lights the boot rests on) as water gets in there too.
I know it might sound silly, but I found a facebook group for the clios (MK2 Clio Owners UK), and its very useful to find out how people have fixed things.
Looking forward to seeing this one done. Would make a cracking first car, or maybe this will become your home to yard runaround. That would be a nice cheap car to run.
Best of luck Kev have a good Christmas
What a fantastic idea, good to see Trents donating the vehicles to you mate :-) Already a massive follower and entrant on BOTB ;-) Can't wait to see the transformation, but maybe start with a wash haha ;-)
This will be interesting. In have a car parked up with about the same amount of mould in it. Best of luck. It'll mostly take patience.
Found your channel the other day and have been watching the odd video - really interesting viewing. I buy old bangers for anything from £0-£600 ish, do what needs doing and sell on, giving the car a new lease of life. Usually end up keeping rather than selling though! I find it really rewarding. I've had some rotters in the past but most just need a bit of work and understanding to become good cars once again. Keep it up and I've just subscribed!
Lots of work needed, go for it Kev. 👍
Hi Kev of course you can save it. It reminds me of my old Clio back in the day and yours has the same features or extras if you want to call them that and mine was a 1.2 Alize. 😄👍
Hi Kev , I love that Renault Clio as it’s fabulous x
Yes it needs work but you know what , i reckon you can turn it into a nice car x
Lots of potential there kev, nice little project. I quiet fancy it myself lol
Do it up. It could be a nice car when clean sun roof clear and fixed.. Good luck....
looking forward to seeing the progress 👍👍😊
merry christmas to and your family have brill time kev a big thanks 4 alll your fab videos
Thanks Chris have a happy Christmas 🎄⛄🎅
Love stuff like this, just found your channel and subscribed
Yes Kev Do it up and sort out the faults, Parts are very common and cheap!
Interesting choice and a nice Channel sideline.
Before doing anything else get the carpets up and check for rust holes. Potentially game over if so. Then stick a portable dehumidifier in it.
Sunroof - check the drains aren't bunged up before ripping it apart.
Cleaning in and out try Bilt Hamber surfex HD. Very powerful, cost effective all purpose cleaner.
Needs to be resealed between the plastic frame of the sunroof and the roof itself done this this many times with many french cars. Good luck drying the interior out.
Nice little car that be nice when it’s done up
Happy Christmas Kev take care & stay safe on the roads bud
You want a dehumidifier in there after a wet vac. If you don't have one, get one! They're brilliant and it will dry out in no time after a few nights of use. Then you can trace where the water is getting in a bit easier. I'm sure with a wash and good scrub inside it will be infinitely more presentable 👍
Hi Kev , I had the same car a 1.2 16v but on an 03 plate . When I wasn’t paying out for bits that had failed it was a fun car to drive as it cornered like it was on rails . Good luck on polishing that turd 💩
Ohhh papa you are spoiling us
Love the color 😍 should buff up a treat 👌
Check the scuttle drains aren't blocked common problem. May be causing flood water as well as roof. Sunroof repair kits available from dealers too. Easy fix. Great starter car for you and next potential owner. Looking forward to watching how you get on.
Hi Kev . Just to give you encouragement I have a 1980 Rabbit Diesel hobby car still on the road . You have your work cut out but she has good foundation as far I see . One day at a time it will happen.
I think the Clio is amazing I had one That failed mot in 2016 at 108 thousand and was gutted absolutely loved it it was my sisters before mine she got it in 2007 and bought it of her in 2010 it was ace ours was a grande and 1.6 2000 reg exactly the same colour as yours
grate vido kev cant wat for the next one on the scrap car challenge
Defo a great first challenge be interesting to see how it turns out
We don't won't any scrap cars next door!!!😄😄😄😄
Hi kev take the trim from around sunroof and headlining drops enough to undo the 12 nuts on the frame and seal the frame back to the roof don't forget to re attatch the drains which you need to clean while sunroof out and check the door bottoms for water as window seals let water in and it overflows onto floor
Love it!
I used to have one of these back in the day. Question though what did you catch with you fishing rod 🤣
Famous for leaky sunroofs. My brand new one started leaking after a few months 🤣 it looks a fun project but don't throw too much money at it, as you won't get it back.
Notice the Offside rear light is off a facelift Clio
My second car was a 1999 Clio 1.4 RT five door in the same colour as this one. The RT had steel wheels as standard so I would think the alloys are after market fit. Cracking drive as I recall. My first car was a Mark 1 Clio RT 1.4, also a really great little car.
Worth every penny you paid for it! :)
That floor could be a bit rotten!
These cars are galvanised so they are rare to rot out
Should be a really good project for the channel good luck kev looking forward to the next video 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍👍
Look forward to seeing Clare the Clio take shape Kev. A friend of mine was lucky enough to win a Mazda with BOTB, it was a sports model can’t remember the model now but he’s a big lad and would have been a tight squeeze.
A man with your talents will fix that up in no time kev! 👍😂
Wow Trent are seeing you good, thats nice of them to donate to your project and by the sound of things future projects, hopefully this minger isn't to much of a minger :P good luck mate
Good job on your hands there Kev
Yes
Thats just down right Nasty Man.. lol
My - what a beaut! As others have said, get a respirator mate. Also, you'll need to gut the interior - certainly take out the seats and tear back the interior to tackle the mold.
Great choice. They have tried to seal the sunroof in the wrong place. Drop the headliner, remove and resell the sunroof and you’ll be on your way. Also the rear lights are wrong for that shape clio.
Merry Christmas and happy new year to all from wellington Somerset
Great wee choice you have there Kev. I’ll definitely be watching ur future vlogs on updates Pal. I remember you picked that car up around a month to 2 months ago. As much as I love car’s same with buses I’m glad you went for something basic ur normal everyday run around to the shops & day’s out & work Pal. Top man Kevtee. 👍
Renault sun roofs usually leak from the frame not the opening part! Maybe needs a new seal and/or the tiny drain holes/tubes are blocked. Worst case, the water gets into the "Unité Centrale Habitacle" (UCH = BCM) - if you are lucky you can dry it out and clean the terminals. Next, the scuttle drains block up, the water pools up until it gets into the wiper motor. Loads of good (and bad) advice on the internet. Get a copy of "Renault Dialogys", Ebay £10.99.
Have fun, Alan (ex "01" and current "07" Clio owner).
looking forward to this as i have a car might pick up some hints
You don't believe in jumping in the deep end do you Kev? You've got your work cut out there. I didn't realise it was April Fools Day yet. Seriously that is a brilliant project. Be interesting to follow it through. Good luck and Merry Christmas to you and you family.
good luck with the project!
Hi kev the first thing I would check is the floor under the car because of the water the floor might be rotten if so I would scrap it lol
Looks like an owl used it for target practice! A bit worried by the onboard water feature too... hey ho I am sure you will transform it! Enjoy!!
Some good hot soapy water and about 3 full washes will see the tree sap gone.
OLD vacuum cleaner to suck the leaves out from under wipers (do NOT jet wash), you need to suck everything away from the drainage points as this is a contribution to you internal water problem. seats and carpet out for a damn good jet wash and dry in a good warm place.
After all that you have decent starting point to progress, but a thorough clean is needed first.
My only advice - Make a list - prioritize the jobs - see a job through, DON'T deviate from that job, unless parts needed. Keep everything you remove coz you WILL need that 1 clip/screw that doesn't come with the replacement part.
Best of luck, i will look on with interest.
Great video kev
This is a Clio2 phase1 16v Sport, limited edition. The alloys are standard. I've got the same Clio, except mine is in Capsicum Red
Looking forward to this mate
Good first project kev I don't like French motor's but be good for a first time driver when completed
For the sunroof it needs new seals as iv had the same problem you can get it from ebay but you have to take the hole lot out can't wait for the nexted update
Looks like an interesting wee project Kev...
That water in the foot well reminded me of my old 05 plate Corsa Twinport I got shut of last year I have heard that Toothpaste is good for cleaning the Head light lenses.
Go for it kev
Common problem Leakey sunroof plenty of vids out there showing how to take it out and reseal not to bad of a job think its a few 10mm nuts
yes would be good content
WELL, DONE MATE SEE A RELLY GOOD CAR
good luck with that car kev :)
Top job that will turn out I'm sure of it Kev
According to the MOT history, its done 8000 since MOT last year, so it looks like its only recently been taken off the road. At least the floor pans should hopefully be okay even though they are underwater! Looks like a good little car to get back on the road. Have a good Christmas.
something good to look forward to
