It's interesting they discuss amateur actors because Ingrid's leading man in "Stromboli", her first film for Roberto Rossellini, was a fisherman! Rossellini saw Mario Vitale, who had no acting experience but who was a very good-looking man and hired him for the movie.

A great actor can be great in 50 films and a hundred plays and bring many characters believably to life. An amateur can only do it once or twice.

have nothing against the other celebs that were on this show but is this channel ever going to show the Dick Cavett shows where he interviews Jackie Gleason or Art Carney? How about any Honeymooners actors that were part of the main cast? These are rarities much like the other ones.

In the U.S., it used to be common to make fun of mental illness. Sad that no one would ever have been able to be open about real trauma. What a horror to make the rounds of all the talk shows that way, being even more fake than they are now.
