Is it a huge discount?
I’m just curious cuz he does say he couldn’t get one more badger cuz their generosity does have a limit, but I’m wondering how the hell they have so much generosity in the first place, know LTT could likely pay it in fun, likely with some hesitation.
If anyone knows if they’ve addressed this, feel free yo link it to me or lead me on the right direction. I’m just curious, is all.
A tech targeted audience of ~1,000,000 is worth a lot to these companies. Simple as that.
@@MonsterSound.Bradley Huh, it do really be that simple then.
Also consider that he is deploying this to replace a competitors product that did not work. That gives them an even bigger boost of "ours is better" coming from Linus himself. That's a lot of positive marketing/PR
i think point is if from the viewers counter 194.229 if like 10 or 50 of those buy something close to the price of this, it already pay all that generosity
@@teus8964 That views counter is the early number too. It will go up fast. Average views are around 1 million.
Props to whoever edited this video. It's little things like the overlays of the processor and memory that really help enhance a lot. They could have easily been left out and nobody would have noticed but the editor took the time to put them in.
Linus is extra nerdy in this one. He’s so happy- total kid in a candy store. Great stuff!
Agreed, this video was great. Server stuff is amazing.
"Should be fine" Words said by everyone before a disaster strucks
Famous last words 😂
Ya, thats what Dr. Kleiner said before the resonance cascade happened.
No, the words are "Everything is fine".
[Insert dog meme with burning background here]
7:34 just another day in The Office with Michael Scott aka Linus. 😂
linus: hold whole thing with one hand
literally every soul in the universe: oh no..
The Dell cases do actually have *just* enough reinforcement to sustain being held by the rear handle. It does feel terribly sketch, though.
Everyone out here talking about the money and im just here thinking Edzil's hoodie is a right vibe
Me reading the title: “oh god, what did he drop this time?”
Expecting a mistake correction because the mistakes I make with the use of money keeps adding up and its a huge loss.
Pretty much correct Ethan Misuse of money causes lots of losses and can run you down financially. seeking for help to avoid making mistakes is sure the right decision. Invest wisely.
@Leie Alexander Honestly this is very taughtful of you to say this. I'm greatly in need of this help. I cant be throwing money for nothing its very bad
@Leie Alexander You're right, but don't know why people remain poor due to ignorance.
@Leie Alexander How do you tend to keep up with your successful series of investment. It's better to take risk and make sacrifices than to remain poor. Any recommendations or courses to buy any ?
@Leie Alexander That would be ok as long its guaranteed I'm in no more rooms for Money Mistake
whoever doing the animations and stuff for this episode. Great job. seriously really well done
Just accidentally blasted this video over my intercom at work..... So now everyone at my retail job knows about your new server
Also everyone now knows that you watch videos during work 😂
Linus running a whole sweatshop of Tech over there.
After watching him wheel that server around while running, I'm not sure my heart could take working at LTT long term.
I misunderstood the title and watched this whole video waiting for you to drop something. Emotional rollercoaster
Title could have been: "how to save money on man hours seconds at a time"
You joke, but not having to wait will really improve mental flow
The faster the machines, the fewer people are needed. Go Silicon! You’re lulling us happily out of work every day!

@@Beakerbite This. Having to wait for a second after every little thing you do is a huge interruption to your workflow, this upgrade is absolutely gonna increase the output and happieness of the editors
I love Edz comment "oh so we'll not have to delete anything again ever". 👍😁
Accounting: "Do we need it"
Linus: "No"
Accounting: "So this is just a want, it's not actually vital to the business"
Linus: "My wants exceed your logic"
TBH I wanna see 200gbps
Yeah I still wonder why they got 8k cams and shit but still no 60fps
@@Aka.Aka. You don’t need 60fps for video.
@@Aka.Aka. They upload videos in 4K - for editing you often need quite a lot higher resolution to end up with a good result.
If you want to say - crop the image - then having just 2x the resolution in both directions is not much.
@@Aka.Aka. He's said it before years ago that it's a creative decision. Most of the content he shows doesn't necessitate high framerate content anyways.
anything linus does its probably a good investment anyway, why do you think they make videos on it, to pay for that expensive stuff, at the end of the day with the ad revenue and the sponsor spot it was probably free or a fraction of the cost.
That "fastest server" joke nearly made me crap my pants _and_ have a heart attack simultaneously!
@@baranobama5375 Likely not going to hurt anything. All that stuff had to survive the parcel system to get there. Would have made the chassis a little ugly though. You should have see how my NetApp DiskShelf was shipped. Zero protection in an cardboard box that was not the right size so it was stuffed in diagonally on both X and Y axis. Naturally, it was all banged up and bent. Still worked fine.
I was yelling "no no no no no" at my screen watching him run thinking he was going to slam the trolley into that corner in the other room or trip and knock the whole thing over on its side.
8:34 [With Morgan Freeman's voice over] "And in that special but brief moment, Linus understood how Apple decides to name it's products, and without remorse he embraced it and it felt good."
Nah, ask Zefrank to do the voiceover
Reading LTT video titles like:
I have no idea what I'm about to watch... but I bet it's interesting
Sometimes they’re self-explanatory and quite descriptive, but yeah, sometimes it’s that. However, the videos never disappoint, been binge watching these and I’m not into tech at all.
I love how chaotic the intro was and then its very calm in ads lol
When he said “and this was NINE YEARS ago” I suddenly felt old because I was already there back then. Oh man.
And i felt like I am from yesterday. My main drive is still one of those. 😥
"should be fine"
-famous last words
3:29 that was the most genuine and innocent laugh I've ever heard from Linus.
My favorite thing about editing room videos is how all of the editors are like "dude, WTF are you doing here?"
Linus: surprised about 128 terabytes of storage
Also Linus: PETABYTE PROJECT LMAO
There is a difference berween hard drive storage and pcie editing server storage
He’s evolving but backwards he’s devolving
@@the_retag Im just talking about the storage space alone, I know there is a big difference, just a joke :D
Best episode in a while! Love seeing the crew and such.
Linus: "I didn't wanna slam these, these are expensive."
Also Linus: 8:07
I feel like Dennis annoys Linus the most, but I also feel like Linus loves him the most. You dont keep someone around who drives you bat shit crazy if you dont enjoy their company.
TY for the new perspective, I always thought Dennis and Linus got on the least, but you don't keep someone like that around if they're not worth the friendship hassle.

Dennis is LTT's link man to the Chinese market. He did the translations for all the video content and upload them to the Chinese Social Media.

I'm surprised that Jake sees anything with the way he wears his mask.
this way it helps not to fog the glasses. xD
Yep if you have glasses you need to have your mask waaaaay up on your nose not for them to fog up
It's easy to see normally with that way he wears his mask, but if you look down you mostly see the mask. And like other said most people with glasses do that.
Thanks for clarification people, truly.
I can't wait for the "Fixing My $50,000" Mistake" video
Love the dark mode intro 😎😍
He always touches the golden connections 😩
I actually felt my body sweat when you ran with the server on the cart.
Me seeing the dark mode intro again when it’s daytime: *confused confusing confusion*
Is that how it works? I thought it was just random lol
