Hello friends~! Please enjoy me rambling about the starter Pokémon, including the newly announced Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly! Any predictions are just for fun, are not serious, so let’s all just relax~ 😊 Unfortunately I lost some footage around the 7:50 mark about Sprigatito. In summary, many fossils of two genera of saber-tooth cats (Paramachairodus and Promegantereon) were discovered in a fossil site near Madrid, Spain, therefore supporting my guess that Sprigatito becomes a saber-tooth cat that is grass/steel type. I do not have a color printer, so I had to manually color the images in the latter half of the video. I apologize if some of the colors are a little off 😆
This was lovely. The Pokemon ASMR community has been really lacking in discussions related to the game, as compared to showing cards and gameplay. You are filling that gap right up! I really enjoyed the discussion on the real-world inspirations for the starters. I used to always look this stuff up, but as I got older and busier, it went out the window 😥. I would really like to see spirigato's line be more like an iberian lynx (and retain its 4 legged form!!!). I would be happy if the fueoco line was similar to totodile's. Quaxly, I am not sure there is a lot of potentials! My track record with the starters is all over the place: Charmander, totodile, treecko (only one we had in common 😂), chimchar, didn't play gen 5 (but selected oshowatt for Arceus), froakie, rowlet, grookey, and for gen 9, I am leaning towards fuecoco (he looks like an apple).
I would love to make more videos about the real-world inspirations of the Pokémon! It’s one of my favorite topics 💕 I agree that I hope Sprigatito’s line stays on all fours 🤞
I've been looking for an ASMR Pokemon channel lately and I found one! I literally just binged watched all off your videos and I was very pleased with your videos so far. Looking forward to what else you have coming up :)
Fun fact: The reason the Gen 1 starters are all reptiles is that GameFreak knew they were very common/popular house pets for kids! I believe this is why most of the starters continue this trend
Turns out i mostly lean toward the water type starter, which is surprising to me cause my favorite type is fighting and my all time favorite is probably Arcanine Gen 1 bulbazaur, gen 2 totodile, gen 3 mudkip but such a good gen, gen 4 turtwig, gen 5 oshawott, gen 6 froppy, gen 7 litten, gen 8 scorbunny and gen 9 sprig With top grass being turtwig, top fire litten, top water mudkip but only because Samurott was an absolute let down.....
I’m late but I almost always go for the fire types :) I did go with treecko and turtwig and then gen 5 since there were 2 games I did oshawott for one and Tepig the other!
If I'd have to guess I'd say Sprigatito will end up like something like an Iberian Lynx, is a subspecies of lynxes that's originary from the Iberian peninsula. Fuecoco will most likely be related to a popular Spanish myth and lullaby that is about a creature called the "Coco" that will eat the children if they are bad and don't go to sleep. My guess is that it could be a Dark or Ghost type. Red peppers are also really popular in Spain and is an ingredient in a variety of Spanish/Mediterranean food. And Quaxly is the one that I'm more lost about. It could be based in a sailor, that were said to be brave and adventurous, party based on a Gull, since there are quite a lot of variations of them here in the Iberian costs. I love vaporeon so I usually never take water since that’s what I’ll try and get. I usually don’t bother with a grass type in my games at all so I guess I usually go with fire! I never really thought about it haha 😅

With how common bug collecting is/was in Japan for kids, I’m surprised we haven’t gotten a bug type starter
