Revisiting Old Pokémon Games: Yellow-Scarlet | ASMR

- Hello friends! In today’s video we will be reminiscing by revisiting all of my old mainline Pokémon games and viewing what teams I used (if possible). We start with my very first game, Yellow, and finish with the most recent, Scarlet.
I always think it’s fun to see what Pokémon different people use. Are you someone that uses a meta team or someone that uses popular Pokémon? Or are you someone who uses a mono type team or a fully varied type team? What do my old Pokémon teams say about me?
Thank you as always for joining me! This was a really fun video for me to make and I was glad to have a reason to find and play my old handheld consoles and games. I’ll hopefully be seeing you again soon (maybe to open some SV card packs 🤫)!

I find that most people’s favorite pokemon game is the first one they played/completed
That does seem to often be the case 😊
For me, my 1st game is actually my 3rd favourite.
1st fav, black and white (Specifically white, cause Zekrom is siiick)
2nd, platinum
3rd, Fire Red
That's true for me.
First one mv parents got me was Crystal, but the first one I finished was Emerald.
Emerald and Platinum are the best imo.
That's why I love Ruby/Gen 3 so much. Almost 600 hours on my OG save file.
I played the first gen and second gen and completed them, but for me, gen 3 is just my favorite!
This was super cool but made me sad because i lost all my pokemon games when i went to college. Rip to nostalgia and a small fortune lol

I sold a lot of my games in college. I almost sold my copy of Fire Red. I’m glad I didn’t! I’m buying back a lot of the games I sold back then and they’re so much more expensive now! 😅
I miss Gen 3 and Gen 7 :(

Gen 3 was my jam as a kid. Probably my most replayed gen. And gen 7 is probably most responsible for keeping my love of Pokémon alive into adulthood 💕

I have been a Pokémon fan since I was 7 years old and my first games were Pokémon Blue and Yellow. Watching this was just very nostalgic to me. 💙🧡

So many hours spent in Blue, Yellow and Crystal back in School. lol
I dug them back up a while ago and ended up soldering new batteries on my games and added a new screen to my SP with USB C recharging
I have a friend who does console repairs, I should see if they could replace my cartridge batteries and fix my SP screen 🤔 I don’t trust myself to do it 😅
Pokémon Black and white are my favourite generation of Pokémon. I adored every moment when these were new ans no other Pokémon game has hit the same since
I really enjoyed playing Gen V and it’s been so long since I last played that I should play them again sometime. ☺️ I’ve always wanted to play Black 2, but the cartridges are so expensive now!

Grew up with Gen1 but never completed it; but played Gen3, completed it and absolutely adored Sapphire with a passion in a way that hit different compared to my Pokemon Blue! Pokemon Silver was also a very strange combination of both half beaten it; half adore it as well 😂
Gen 3 really was a great gen. A huge step up for the franchise and the games still hold up today

This was such a good video! I love nostalgic ASMR like this! I played a ton of pokemon Blue on Gamboy advanced and then when I got a DS I played Diamon! Now all these years later I have sheild on the switch! And Arcaeus!

I’ve seen people transplant the chips from a gameboy cartridge onto a new board to repair water damage. Might be worth looking into
Unfortunately I no longer own my copy of Gold. I’m sure it probably got thrown away over a decade ago by now, but that’s still good to know!
Pokémon Soul Silver for Nintendo DS takes the cake for me

I recently replaced the battery on my Gold Edition and my Blue Edition. I really liked Gold, but is has some flaws that I cannot overlook nowadays. I also liked Ruby and Sapphire a lot. The battery problem is bad though. You don‘t lose your savegame, but without the time based events it‘s only half as fun. I might replace those batteries as well and start a new game in the future to revive the nostalgia. FireRed was great too. I played a lot of Pokémon White as well. If HeartGold was not so expensive nowadays, I would buy that one. It‘s the remake of my favorite gen.
Yeah, the first two gens really show their age now. They were great back in the day, but it’s hard to return to them.
It’s crazy how expensive the Pokémon games are now! Makes me glad I never sold my games because I would have really regretted it.
Crystal Version is one of my favs. Wish they would have did a DS remake of it
It’s a shame the remakes always seem to be the original games rather than the upgraded third version 😔

Okay so something interesting the first sp where front lit (I own one of these) later versions had backlights
I frankly prefer the the front lit cause I think it’s really interesting but if your going for consistency backlit is the way to go
I agree that it is super interesting that they changed the lighting! Either one is much better than angling your Game Boy to catch the faint light of the few streetlights as you’re driving at night on a road trip though 😂

I was using it as French language practice. I also played through Pokémon Y in French the first time I played it. My French comprehension is okay, but unfortunately my ability to speak French is practically nonexistent 😂

They were really good cause the introduction of mega Evolutions happened, but pokemon black and white as well as black and white 2 are easily the best era of pokemon games

Haha I’m not sure what you’re referring to because I don’t believe I have any Starlys in master balls, but I have honestly never cheated in Pokémon.

For both of them, it's not a Master Ball but a Great Ball...
Also, even if it was a Master Ball, you can have multiple of them without cheating, especially when you got two games from the same gen and a second console to make a trade (you can also win one in the lottery but it's so rare I don't count it)
