The power in Cuba doesn't go out, all the contrary, it barely comes on. As a cuban myself, that was born and grew uo in the island, that's been happening ever since I can remember, and had been happening even before I was born, and I'm 38. For the cuban people, that's nothing surprising, that's their daily bread. And yes, so much for socialism and communism, all these systems bring is missery and chaos. And to think that here in the USA people are advocating for socialism, they clearly haven't read history.
I was living in Jamaica when the power grid went down Island wide. Apparently, an employee at the main operations building made a bad keystroke on the computer and accidentally shut down the power grid. It took about 12 hours to get the whole island back up and running.

That took over 12 hours to fix. Power and water can go out at any time. You were obviously lucky not to have it happen.
No it doesn't there are short power outages for small amounts of time the same happens in California what is happening in Cuba or Venezuela is not even close to comparative.

The US restricts the imports of such things into Cuba by threatening nations like Vietnam and states like Taiwan with sanctions for violating the 70yo trade blockade the US has put on Cuba, with that said, the lights in Cuba will be back on within a week, in that same time period Pueto Rico's grid will likely fail twice

I thought different points of view was encuraged in these U.S. BOTH countries would benifit greatly if we were to normalize relations.
