EVER since AJ Styles made his WWE debut.. i can't think of any matches he had so far where it sucked.. This is the one guy where you can bet your whole company on and never be let down. I hope VINCE keeps him as the main champ for awhile.

I thought Owens and Zayn in the preshow was pretty good booking, given the story they have with shane. It just adds more fuel and reasoning to why they act that way.
The mens Survivor Series from last year was sooooo much better than this years, that match actually told a story and had alot better moments, this year SHOULD have done much more considering everyone who was involved.
TheGameGuy 18 Not really, the match was decent but it wasnt great and this was before the ending, last years match was much better, it told a better story, the clashes between everyone was great, the moments such as Styles vs Rollins, Reigns spearing the fuck out of Shane, the Shield mini reunion, Ellsworth eliminating Strowman and Strowman pretty much killing Ellsworth for it, the Owens and Jericho shit, the winners of the match, last years match was so good and well paced, this years was just sloppy in comparison, Cena and HHH being in the match was last minute, there wasnt that much emphasis on the newer guys like Roode and Nakamura and the ending was sloppy, in last years match, it took about 20 to 30 minute for someone to get eliminated, yesterday it took about 10 minutes, the match was decent but it should have been ALOT more giving all that participated in the match.
Main event started out pretty good until all the new stars got eliminated. Kinda wish the last people wouldn’t have been Shane, Triple H and a old Kurt Angle. Pretty stupid that a potential good match ruined cause of another Authority storyline. It also made Smackdown look like shit.
Samuel Blenke Also so dumb that Owens & Zayn didn't get involved at all or Jason Jordan. Instead it was all about HHH, Shane & Angle. Owens & Zayn went from being in the main event of HIAC and being SD hottest act to now being in a meaningless pre show match against the Fashion Police. They better have them go after the tag titles or something.
The End of days is also really protected. It is cool seeing finishing moves actually being finishing moves. I know it annoys the Indy marks who don’t understand psychology in wrestling.
Honestly the main event was so awful. Cena looked bored out of his mind. The NXT guys went out so quickly it was painful. The ending was confusing and honestly it was just terrible storytelling. How anyone can defend it is beyond me.
I will say this. After the show, watched a review of a friend on Twitter, and listened to Wrestling Observer as I fell asleep, both cases, didn't care much for the show. Upon waking, another Twitter friend did a review, him and his friends friends loved it, and then this video, where you Brian spoke exactly what I felt about the show. Thought at first, maybe it was because of my break from Raw and Smackdown was why I enjoyed it so much, but now, guess Survivor Series 2017 is just going to be one that fans are divided on.
Brian for some one who can speak and understand a second language. The Spanish announce team does wonderful. They build the superstars up with their abilities. At least that’s what I got from the last ppv. I watch survivor series in English. God it was awful

I found it weird that no non-war games match went into the second ring at war games, I get you don’t want to over do it but I still think a lot of cool spots where missed out on
I think Triple H did a great job of putting over his NXT guys in that main event cause it’s clear Vince or whomever just want to keep these guys at mid card level or lower. With a ring full of already made legends at least make the last guy with Shane one of the new guys. I don’t have a problem with Trips winning because it was done to continue that slow build for Braun, who if they continue to take there time (I think they learned from rushing Roman who I’m a fan of) could make into a better version of Kane or Big Show for this generation.
Brian, Since Enzo is a heel, would you think when Cass comes back, do you think he turns face, or just unaffiliated with Enzo? I do not think there was a bad match last night. Every match kept you on your seat. Women's elimination was a little boring with some decent spots, but Asuka as sole survivor was the best thing that could happen.
The 5 man commentary team also happened back when ECW was first being revived and they did WWE vs ECW. On WWE commentary was jerry lawler And JR and on ECW was Joey styles and taz and a backstage higher up from ECW keeping taz and jerry separated after they started fighting. But those 4 guys carried a large commentary team better than survivor series could
I would say the Charlotte vs Alexa Bliss match was more than good enough to make it on to the Pros list... Also, I figured Cena's green shirt was supposed to reflect his "hired gun" status as a free agent that Smackdown got to first
Lesnar's best match (against the Man who built the house of SDLive) is still HEAVILY marred in predictability due to the score between SDLive and Raw, and because Lesnar's BIG LOSS is being saved for Roman Reigns, not that I mind but c'mon the people Lesnar have fought so far are more than worthy to dethroning the beast
This was a huge disappointment. They made Smackdown look like a turd, losing all of the high profile matches. Vs Shield, vs Charlotte, women's elimination, men's elimination. Corbin beat Miz and the Usos beat Sheamus and Cesaro...so what? The men's elimination was abysmal. The first half was fine, but once Shinsuke and Roode were gone (you know, the BEST part of that lineup), the whole thing fell apart. I mean, eliminating the younger more talented guys was stupid, but leaving only Shane as Smackdown's solo guy? Get the fuck outta here with that. The match slowed down considerably. And Triple H is really starting to look his age. Flabby, huge loss of muscle mass, wrinkly. He looked like a geriatric next to Braun. I love Bliss, but she couldn't keep up with Charlotte. She's a slow, plodding worker, and Charlotte can really go. They didn't have much chemistry either. Charlotte being a whole two feet taller didn't help Bliss any, who botched a couple times because she couldn't get the reach in. There was no suspense when Charlotte just got the Smackdown title and was the babyface here anyway. Shield vs New Day, the women's elimination, and Lesnar vs Styles were the only truly good matches. The others were average or downright stupid.
Jason Krueger women’s elimination wasn’t that special. Only real good thing about it was that Asuka was sole survivor. Bar vs Usos was easily 3rd best match
c Crayon Asuka made the match incredibly entertaining. I was bored with the Bar vs Usos. Usos vs New Day matches were far, far more thrilling. This is just my opinion of course. If you think their match was good, so be it.
Not really, he doesn't have any psychology in his spear. It's just a big run and hit spear that sought of feels like a signature. Goldberg even in his old age gave a better Spear than Roman. Because he used his speed and lifted the opponent when he hit it. Rhyno's gore was similar to Roman's spear, but Rhyno holds his opponents when he hits it and it looks more brutal.
Defiantly one of the better PPV's this year for sure, all matches were entertaining but the ending to the main event was a let down to a fantastic show
I agree with the grade. The most underwhelming match was the Main Event at the end and it was quite nice overall. So many stories in that match which was great. Very solid show.
Like you said, I'd be more okay with how protected the F5 is if the end goal wasn't just going to be 'Roman Kicks out of it at Wrestlemainia." I can't get absorbed in the buildup when the climax is so obvious even from a year away.
At least you view was closer to mine. Dave and Bryan kinda crapped all over most of it other than aj/Brock. I did feel it was good. What did you think of Nak and Roode going out 1/2, but still getting some shine working with hhh and angle. I was ok with it because I feel it gave them some momentum.

I have to admit that I never thought I'd be a believer in Braun, but I'm finally really digging that goofy faced bastard. He's really grown into a true monster, something we've really needed in wrestling for a while now. I'd totally be down for him getting Roman's place too. Braun is pretty much universally loved at this point, and his character is super entertaining. My only gripe is that his look is pretty abysmal, but I can put up with that, and who knows maybe he'll get an upgrade if they do decide to really go with him as a (or even the) top baby face.
-Yawn Cancer Cena is a complete VOID, watching him "wrestle" is totally embarassing, he almost droppeed Joe on his head, was visibly and TOTALLY gased out after his 3 weak moves, and everyone had to go ultra soft on him...he killed the crowd dead as soon as he got the tag, he doesnt belong to a wrestling ring. -Also Watching Alexa TRYING to wrestle someone like Charlotte is completely unbelievable, its just goofy to watch, painfully cringey
Not a bad show, but idk about A- good. Predictable finishes, plenty of sloppy spots, an overbooked main event that saw the boss win it for the team, and a lack of clear stakes really brought down the several entertaining matches on the card. Plus that Kalisto botch was worthy of the infamous Sin Cara I, poor guy.
I really enjoyed Survivor Series except for the mens main event elimination match which was actually good until Roode and Nakamura were eliminated and Joe and Balor were eliminated and Becky Lynch being eliminated after about two minutes was a very strange and bad decision.
Lesnar vs Styles reminded me of Lesnar vs Punk at WM, once again Lesnar wins with a single F5. Brian, I understand your opinion about the F5 and the spear being protected to build Lesnar vs Reigns but I think it won't be a big deal when Reigns kicks out because his Superman side is precisely the main reason why some fans hate him.

Brian I disagree about protecting the F5. I agree that at least they've been consistently protecting it and least their scaling it back, that's all well and good. But I disagree that crowd will pop for Roman kicking out. It's just so telegraphed and Roman just has this reputation for pinning out anyway that I doubt people will freak out, it'll just be regarded as business as usual. It's unfortunate because I really don't think there's anything there doing wrong with this build, but it's bound to fail regardless.
would've prefered a Smackdown win in the Men's Five on Five. There whole thing was that they weren't gonna be called the "B Show" after beating RAW. So having them lose, and having some like Triple H getting the pin, felt like the company was saying "Screw you, you'll always be the B Show.!"

The main event died for me once nakamura and roode were eliminated. I was rooting for smackdown but after that I would of had to root for cena, Orton and Shane to win. At the same time I knew if raw won we'd never hear the end of it from Stephanie.
I thought it was a better ppv as of late, my personal score a solid 4/5. 3 man commontary is terrible, always has been. 5 i had no clue what was going on. Also they really drove home the part of "this is the only time we will see Raw vs Smackdown." How does the Rumble work?😂
My prediction for smackdown going forward is that Daniel Bryan told KO and Zayn that they'd have free reign if they attacked Shane, per the hint earlier in the show about Daniel running the show if Shane's gone.
You are not wrong about the commentary team, it was far, far, far more enjoyable to hear my good old spanish commentary team than the awful 5 team leaded by Michael Cole.
The ending should've been with Taker coming out to save Smackdown, as he is most connected to it. That way it's basically the same way Sting debuted, 3-1, surprise! Underdog finish. And who knows, maybe if Sting is ever able to come back...

Overall, I really enjoyed this show, my only real complaints are: -Shane no selling KO and Sami's beat down... FFS... -Joe, Nakamura, Roode, and Finn all got ejected first, ruining all of the interesting combinations. -A bit of a flat finish (although this was redeemed by Barun taking out Trips) -The commentary team. Fuck... It wasn't *that* bad for me, personally. But I lost track of who was talking, A LOT. Overall though, I really enjoyed this show. Solid 9/10 for me.
What happened at the end of the main event happened because on the pre show Jason Jordan said I hope HHH gets elimanated then Raw Wins So HHH Made sure Angle got pinned then Raw won....

The issue with this PPV is that there were no stakes for any of the matches (exception: Cruiserweight title match). Who cares if Raw beats Smackdown?

I love Bliss, but she couldn't keep up with Charlotte. She's a slow, plodding worker, and Charlotte can really go. They didn't have much chemistry either. Charlotte being a whole two feet taller didn't help Bliss any, who botched a couple times because she couldn't get the reach in. There was no suspense when Charlotte just got the Smackdown title and was the babyface here anyway.
Shield vs New Day, the women's elimination, and Lesnar vs Styles were the only truly good matches. The others were average or downright stupid.
Jason Krueger women’s elimination wasn’t that special. Only real good thing about it was that Asuka was sole survivor. Bar vs Usos was easily 3rd best match

c Crayon Asuka made the match incredibly entertaining. I was bored with the Bar vs Usos. Usos vs New Day matches were far, far more thrilling. This is just my opinion of course. If you think their match was good, so be it.

Goldberg even in his old age gave a better Spear than Roman. Because he used his speed and lifted the opponent when he hit it.
Rhyno's gore was similar to Roman's spear, but Rhyno holds his opponents when he hits it and it looks more brutal.

I agree with the grade. The most underwhelming match was the Main Event at the end and it was quite nice overall. So many stories in that match which was great. Very solid show.
Like you said, I'd be more okay with how protected the F5 is if the end goal wasn't just going to be 'Roman Kicks out of it at Wrestlemainia." I can't get absorbed in the buildup when the climax is so obvious even from a year away.

I have to admit that I never thought I'd be a believer in Braun, but I'm finally really digging that goofy faced bastard. He's really grown into a true monster, something we've really needed in wrestling for a while now. I'd totally be down for him getting Roman's place too. Braun is pretty much universally loved at this point, and his character is super entertaining. My only gripe is that his look is pretty abysmal, but I can put up with that, and who knows maybe he'll get an upgrade if they do decide to really go with him as a (or even the) top baby face.
-Yawn Cancer Cena is a complete VOID, watching him "wrestle" is totally embarassing, he almost droppeed Joe on his head, was visibly and TOTALLY gased out after his 3 weak moves, and everyone had to go ultra soft on him...he killed the crowd dead as soon as he got the tag, he doesnt belong to a wrestling ring.
-Also Watching Alexa TRYING to wrestle someone like Charlotte is completely unbelievable, its just goofy to watch, painfully cringey
Not a bad show, but idk about A- good. Predictable finishes, plenty of sloppy spots, an overbooked main event that saw the boss win it for the team, and a lack of clear stakes really brought down the several entertaining matches on the card. Plus that Kalisto botch was worthy of the infamous Sin Cara I, poor guy.

I really enjoyed Survivor Series except for the mens main event elimination match which was actually good until Roode and Nakamura were eliminated and Joe and Balor were eliminated and Becky Lynch being eliminated after about two minutes was a very strange and bad decision.
Lesnar vs Styles reminded me of Lesnar vs Punk at WM, once again Lesnar wins with a single F5. Brian, I understand your opinion about the F5 and the spear being protected to build Lesnar vs Reigns but I think it won't be a big deal when Reigns kicks out because his Superman side is precisely the main reason why some fans hate him.

Brian I disagree about protecting the F5. I agree that at least they've been consistently protecting it and least their scaling it back, that's all well and good. But I disagree that crowd will pop for Roman kicking out. It's just so telegraphed and Roman just has this reputation for pinning out anyway that I doubt people will freak out, it'll just be regarded as business as usual. It's unfortunate because I really don't think there's anything there doing wrong with this build, but it's bound to fail regardless.

would've prefered a Smackdown win in the Men's Five on Five. There whole thing was that they weren't gonna be called the "B Show" after beating RAW. So having them lose, and having some like Triple H getting the pin, felt like the company was saying "Screw you, you'll always be the B Show.!"

The main event died for me once nakamura and roode were eliminated. I was rooting for smackdown but after that I would of had to root for cena, Orton and Shane to win. At the same time I knew if raw won we'd never hear the end of it from Stephanie.

My prediction for smackdown going forward is that Daniel Bryan told KO and Zayn that they'd have free reign if they attacked Shane, per the hint earlier in the show about Daniel running the show if Shane's gone.
You are not wrong about the commentary team, it was far, far, far more enjoyable to hear my good old spanish commentary team than the awful 5 team leaded by Michael Cole.

The ending should've been with Taker coming out to save Smackdown, as he is most connected to it.

Overall, I really enjoyed this show, my only real complaints are:
-Shane no selling KO and Sami's beat down... FFS...
-Joe, Nakamura, Roode, and Finn all got ejected first, ruining all of the interesting combinations.
-A bit of a flat finish (although this was redeemed by Barun taking out Trips)
-The commentary team. Fuck... It wasn't *that* bad for me, personally. But I lost track of who was talking, A LOT.
Overall though, I really enjoyed this show. Solid 9/10 for me.
