RR is tired of Mansory ruining their designs, so they decided to just do it themselves.
the Tesla Cybertruck is next level of worse and worse thing is, an unreliable garbage
Exactly this 😂
They took matters into their own hands 😂
here's what i think went wrong. they don't get some basic things right.
when you're trying to create something "stately", relatively "natural" stuff should form the architecture.
the body made those lines that vertically descend from the headlights. that makes it look organic.
you don't try to compensate for design with technology ( and i'm including light here in "technology" ).
it feels like it doesn't exist and you're trying to bring it into the real world.
you basically recognise light as something that's meant for functionality, and try to minimise it's usage.
Never expected in a million years that Rolls Royce would screw up a design this bad
The new BMW designers were probably involved here🤣🤣
That SUV atrocity was ugly from the beginning tho
@@atlas5459 The back of the SUV was eh the Front looked fine.
front end looks like the cheapest bumper mod in need for speed carbon
Kind of look like a dog in the front 😂
Bruhh, I'm thinking the same lol
Cheap and nasty looking.
Need for speed carbon brings back so many memories 😢
No way😭
BMW keeps destroying every exterior styling they touch.
You're absolutely right .
But yet their cars are selling in record numbers. So they must be doing something right.
It's not destroyed. It's just really weird. But at least for this, there's an explanation behind the design as opposed to the usual "bad design for no reason"
Correct ✅
you're crazy if you think this is "destroyed" it's really not that bad.
the new 7 series on the other hand...
Those weird looking front vents give BMW IX vibes.
Yeah BMW owns RR it's prob why😂
I had the exact same thought
@@tariq3077 what a coincidence your name is my last name😂
The front headlights look like the car is crying
😂
it probably is crying, given rolls royce's heritage being ruined like this
@@the80386 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@devonmichael2469 it's literally this
Funny 😂 I actually like the lights though
The headlight just dropping into an empty space is so unsettling. A Rolls should be designed once and last forever, this is following design trends.
what design did the dropping lights copy? there's nothing like that right now. unless you count that one old Cadillac.?
@@Bruhngus420 Peugeot 308
They really put BMW style diagonal air intakes on the front end of a Rolls Fking Royce!? Those DRLs too... My god.
I'm literally disgusted.
cost cutting and badge engeneering...
The new front end is hideous 🤮 most questionable design cue we’ve had from rolls Royce imo
WDYM?! That design is more modern and looks pretty cool
@@janijoni5115 The top half is good, bottom half looks like some cheap tuner slapped an ugly BMW styled bodykit onto it.
RR is getting some BMW fever😢 with unnecessary diagonal lines front and back 😅
real
Rolls Royce said the average age of their client base went from 56 to 43...I think that somewhat explains the sporty look
When you need a bodykit just to un-bodykit the official car
all i wanted to say .. this designs somehow reminds me of the kumfu panda charecter shi fu's mustache.
Or a Storm Trooper
Or a British Bulldog
Or every kid from Succesion!!
Omg I can't unsee it now😭
@@arlissk9765 whatever the design is way too sad...with itself
Citroen/DS designer has been hired by BMW, and its evident in the last 5 years. The old BMW designer has gone over to KIA, and has been working there since their badge has changed
Completely agree. That lower facia doesn’t tie in with anything. If they would have left the revisions to that upper portion it would have been stunning
The lower front bumper looks like the front end of the BMW M8. A clash of designs that honestly makes the Cullinan look cheap 😫😫
Old rolls Royce cullinan all day 💯
For the first time I think Mansory could fix it
Nope, not really
I like the rear end, and front end for the most part. The new DTR lights look great, but the droopy looking chin? Not so much.
The old one feels much more classy though, so I would say overall the older one is nicer.
When I saw it, I was like, wtf? I got to see what you have to say about it 😂😂😂
They really trying to increase the profit margins on a rolls royce, imagine they make that analog clock digital next smh
I never liked the cullinan. I always thought it was ugly
Yep, always has been and is even more so now. Maybe RR wants "ugly" to be an inherent attribute of the Cullinan.
Front bumper looks like default nfs prostreet autosculpt one
I totally agree with you, the old version looks soooo much better
The lower vents don't match with the rest of the car's front styling. Too angular in my opinion. If the vents were straightened out it would look a whole lot better.
It looks like a grumpy Thomas the Tank Engine character
1:41 “Emulate the bow of a yacht” Where?
It's just designer gibberish, they create these excuses on the fly to justify their bad decisions
😌 I love the design & RR adapts to attract more people, the car looks larger, taller and wider 🤔
That front end looks like they put the lower half of a BMW X5M Competition front end on it.
I've been watching you long enough that I feel I know your taste in design..... I knew you were going to go crazy on this one as soon as I saw the news release earlier today 😂
I once thought the urus redesign was bad. But after I watched this...
Cybertruck is next level of ugly
The previous Rolls-Royce also had digital gauges. They're just styled analogously.
I couldn’t agree with your assessment more! The Series 1 is a far cleaner and more elegant design. Good thing that a Provenance Rolls Royce is the best value in the Luxury market. 😊
I personally like it. Especially in black badge trim. Though I am not a fan of chrome deletes/black trim, I like the difference in the lower bumper with the slats oriented in the opposite way to the non black badge one.
They made the classiest SUV look the goofyest - and I hate every change. Did not expect this from RR. I love old RR Cullinan so much - I even have 1:18 model on my working table
I like the head lights….
🗣️🗣️🗣️Bmw KNOWS HOW TO MESS THINGS UP
Well the Cybertruck is way uglier than this
Thanks man for talking about this, literally now i feel satisfied form the bottom of my heart
5:44 Agreed, first thing I thought was Mansory
The problem with mansory is not the design, it's the drawings, which they highlight with carbon or another color. take a mansory and configure it, they will be fine. for example, a LeMansory in all blue color instead of having carbon details
That interior screams MUSTANG 2009-14 😂😂😂😂😂😂
this new RR looks like a concept rendering.....my God
This video hit everything right on the money. I prefer the older model too. Great presentation.
The gauges in the instrument cluster of the series 1 Cullinan are digital too, unfortunately. Though they looked more analog.
I agree on the exterior part and I too said looks like Mansoory were involved lol. But for the interior you’re comparing the black badge to a regular Cullinan. The Black Badge is the sport version so the interior is done with carbon fiber and sporty colors.
Im not gonna lie, those inverted l.e.d's by the headlights let the car look sad. Almost like a rinkled face grumpy person. Pretty sure at night its going to be beautiful but apart from that its a decent update.
RR should've kept the air intakes as it was or maybe made it slimmer. The newer air intakes looks totally out of place. Rest of the updates feel pretty flawless.
Front LED strip is fantastic you say? No, it's ugly because it looks like the car is crying while trying to keep a serious face, reminds of Droopy the dog.
The Cullinan was never a looker, but at least it stuck to most of the basic RR design principles. But obviously BMW has bought RR a couple of decades ago, so this had to happen at some point.
11:16, that's just the Black Badge version. The regular version won't look as sporty
Also, 12:02 in the original cullinan, those are also digital.
RR is now more about gimmicks. Next a starlight glove box.
The lower bumper is an utter travesty and an absolute insult to Rolls Royce’s heritage. It’s unforgivable.
I wanna ask whoever designed the front fascia ; Why ?
My 2 cents off of my head is that Rolls Royce is realizing their clients are the younger and with flashy bad taste, and not as much Senior customers. That interior color option screams alpha e-commerce bro
I was in the middle of typing that I thought this looked like a Mansory kit when you said it yourself. I wonder if Rolls is down on sales and is looking to do what BMW is doing with their designs
Rolls Royce goes full Mansory
I love the L shaped headlights and the air intakes. It’s an all around upgrade in my opinion!
I like the lights
I prefer the previous one
BANGLE LIVES ON!!!!😂😭
the pre facelift cullinan also had digital guages. they werent very configurable and had the bmw "idrive 6" design with the fixed rings around them.
Bro you have the same mind setting as me about this new Collinan
5:06 EXACTLY
It looks like it puffed up and covered some of its features. The lights look so tiny.
This is a classic case of if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. No update was needed. This is a huge step down.
had they keep the old front bumper
one thing i'v known over time with cars especially with RR and Mercedes, its that the new design grows on you.
Well for me as BMW guy who also likes Benz, I think the only design that grew on me is the new E class overall, the rest of Mercedes design? Boring
Waiting for your Cullinan redisign
Love it! Don't love the fact I can't have it! ^ ^
rolls royce knows their new audience: rich rappers and youtubers who would love these weird designs and bright interiors
This design is the fourth horseman of the apocalypse.
Looks better than the old design
I am honestly impressed by your a precise comment “roll Royce should be classic and luxurious not sport luxurious,
They'll put little wings on the side of the next new model and say, "Look, it's inspired by the design of a private jet."🤦😅😂
Those front led's look like a handle-bar moustache. Once you see it, you can't unsee it.
These running lights look like extensive white eyebrows of an old Kong Fu master from old Chinese martial arts movies. That’s just how I see them
in white: Stormtrooper 😀
I think it is very colour dependent, I like it, it’s growing on me
Feels like something a wealthy archeologist would drive to me. I don’t know why, but that’s the emotional I get. Indians jones sorta vibe. Luxuriously rugged. Warm confident face. I like it! And I’m usually pretty conservative when it comes to design. I personally think rolls Roy’s faces are kinda stale though the proportions are solid. This one feels more emotional to me.
The "new" Cullinan looks like that meme with the crying face behind the mask of its own smiling face. 😅💀

Old shape is much better
I am pretty sure a BMW Designer was also designing it with the Rolls Royce one 😂
To be honest . I too didn't like the lower half of the front fascia .
i love old design
Why does this 2025 RR have a key lock on the door?
I think RR realise that with this model in particular, their client segment has buying power(often new money) but a different understanding of good taste/class. Think Richard Mille wearers.
5:44 ok, that's a bit harsh. I don't like the front either, but I wouldn't go that far
Edit: also, 11:18 the interiors look the same. The only changes are the digital tachometer and the new clock. The black badge cars have always had that carbon fiber checker pattern. The standard model doesn't. Like you said: it's really only the black badge models that are trying to be sporty. The standard models are still pure luxury, so you don't have to worry that much
A perfect example of yet another good original design that they failed to improve upon with a restyle.
i don't know what people have against Mensory i think their designs, body kit and lather interiors are amazing in 95% of cases
End of an era🙂😟
Somebody PUNCHED ROLLS ROYCE in the EYES!!👀
PUFFY THIN HEADLIGHTS 😳
The top half is beautiful but I’m not too sure about the other half.
I honestly like it, but idk why they thought that bumper design up front made sense. It doesn’t match any other shapes on the car
Looks like the GTA version of a Rolls Royce lol
I think it looks alright, not better or worse than before.
RR did say that the average age of RR buyers have dropped. I think that’s why they have gone for the more sporty styling cues. This facelift did throw me off a bit but personally I still think it’s a good looking car!
The front is hideous, but what I don't see many people talking about are the proportions. See the rear door, that thing looks like they got it from a telephone booth. The front was never the strong suit of the Cullinan but the side profile was majestic. They literally ruined that for no reason
Agreed 100%
Not a single angle where it looks any better than the old one in my opinion. Despite what a lot of people say I always liked the first gen (I hate SUVs but for rolls Royce it just makes sense)
the angled lower fascia with the straight edged RR grille and headlights just dont work imo, and the lower half just makes the stance look weird. kinda looks like a GTA unlicensed copy
they couldve just cleaned it up a little bit like they did with the upper fascia
There exists someone in the BMW design group that enjoys these huge gaping openings on each corner. This truck has been given the M2 treatment in the bottom corners.
i like the new headlight, its a prminent feature for them maybe going away from grill deisng, but the sporty air vents look horrendous, the old ones were much better
