Believe me, many people allready tried to talk him out of doing the show in the first place. He got up and tried, and humbly offered his apology´s when he had to give up. This is the stuff legends are made off.
Not a single person was upset he cancelled the show. I think we all knew as soon as he came out on stage the show wasn't going to last long. The crowd was 100% supportive of his decision to end it early. To get that kind of response shows the legendary status of that man. This was my only Motörhead show and I'm glad I was able to see them live at least once, albeit for just 2 and a half songs. Long live Motörhead!

Lemmy was an original and Motorhead was a great pioneering band. This hits me so hard because I know the pain he must have been in because sadly I watched my wife of 16 years due to the cancer that also riddled her body suffering from the immense pain and still worried about everyone else and wanted to take care of everyone else while she was rapidly deteriorating. We sadly lost her February of this year. So this video hits so close to home. RIP to my amazing wife, Lemmy and let's not forget Ronnie James Dio.

Lemmy and Motorhead gave so much at prior Austin gigs that no apology was needed..still,you can see having to bow out of the gig hurt him worse than any fucked up cancer. No refunds were asked for. Right up there with BB King's last show. King was brought on stage (he could barely walk.) sat down, did some banter to the audience, reached for his guitar and couldn't play. He put the guitar back on its stand and people helped him offstage again. Again the audience was polite, not a single boo. I'm pretty sure Lemmy and BB are in the afterworld having a jam.
Sad to see him in this state. Also from what I've heard he had to be carried out of his birthday celebration. But he always gave it his all, and gave us what we needed. Rest easy Lemmy. Born To Lose Live To Win.
He was literally on the verge of death when he turned 70. He only lived 4 more days... 😞 I'm absolutely amazed he was able to attend the celebration at all. He kept going and giving it his all until his final moments.

I had tickets to see them for the 3rd time at the Houston show and they cancelled due to his health. That told me the end was near. At least I got to see em twice. Both shows were fierce.
