I absolutely love this truck. The derelicts are far and away my favorite Icon line. I roll my eyes at Ferraris and Lambos, but this made my eyes roll, in a good way. You’re a gentleman and a scholar of good taste, kind sir, and I tip my hat to you.
Yet another perfect intersection of brilliant engineering and astatic beauty! The only thing I would change are the seats.....Taller backs so that my head doesn't got through the rear window if someone behind me decided they hate my truck!
Yeah but cab is so small that if the seats had headrests or taller backs, the seat would have to be almost vertical or much closer to the dash so it doesn’t work out. Thx!
OMG…the Bison leather is stunning! A perfect fit! And the wood in the bed…with the patina…this is my favorite. Wait…the Buick…no this one. You guys are amazing!
If I could buy an Icon truck THIS is what I'd want. LOVE the derelicts. Would be so cool having and amazing handling/driving, but old looking truck, Wouldn't be afraid to drive it or park it anywhere. Plus always fun having a sleeper. Edit: Loved all the b-roll and build pics really makes the video more in depth. Also love the eaglesesk outro.
I love the intro and like the outro. The change in pace with the editing for the outro is jaring. When the clips are 1.5 seconds~4 seconds it flows. When it cuts after a half second it's jaring because I don't know what I'm looking at. It goes something like 1.5, 1.5, .3, .4, .5, 4, 3, 2,2, .3, .5, 3 and the few jump cuts jarred me. The outro scrip with the logo branding is great. I took it to heart that you wanted a free focus group, and I tried my best to be constructive.
Another ICON masterpiece. I have a Hot Wheels 1952 Chevrolet 3100 Pickup with a similar colour and factory patina. It looks very similar, but a slightly different price point 🤣
Video was perfect. I love the editing and the b roll. Andd the outro is cool as well. The truck is freaking awesome however. I love Thriftmaster and I love the Derelict series. To have the combination is a perfect dream. I do like the client touches. Adds a unique perspective to an already one off build. Grats and thank you for sharing.
Love the idea, 'Never Judge By The Cover'! The underside, engine bay, aged bed, and interior are just perfect to the 3 point seat belts and heated seat, like a little more seat back. Definitely no drinks in here with the lack of under seat protection for the electronics.👍🏾
Thank you for sharing your art Mr. Ward. I fell in love with this project. Greetings from Argentina. 2:32 muchas gracias por recomendar cajas manuales!
Love the outro! I think that the Derelicts are the best builds you do. Anyone can do a restomod but doing your Derelicts takes more imagination and creativity. Keep up the great work!
I love the derelicts one thing I never understood was how do you stop the beautiful patina on the body becoming rot - I should say live in Ireland so old cars just rot rather than ‘patina’!
LOVE the outro! Well done. I really like this truck with the derelict on the outside, clean and fresh on the inside - if I had the money that’s how I’d like to do it. Thank you so much for sharing these creations with us and all the production you put into these videos!
Well done - again !! Love the more normal stance. Love the blend of new finish on interior and under the hood with the patina exterior - good blend. Love the modern wheels with original hub caps. Just so many touches to be proud of 😀
Absolutely stunning! The mix of understatedness and cool with driveability gives a laid back feel that’s just perfect! Eventhough we have a bunch of old Cruisers, I’d love to see what you could do with my Volvo TP21 Sugga…
I did my own stock restoration of the 54 five window cab Thriftmaster, and I now want to do something different. Nice work! Many times I had to decide to stay stock or upgrade. You either have to go left or right on these restorations. This is one that I would love to do in the future.
Killer truck. I drive a '49. Absolutely love the interior. Curious as to why you didn't plumb the original gas filler to the new tank. My tank is mounted in the same location and plumbed to the cab mounted gas filler. Takes fuel with no issue and no stink. Again, Love your work man!
These trucks are amazing. The fact that most people would just walk past them laughing trying to figure out why someone would drive them. Totally hilarious. THEY JUST DON'T KNOW.
Nice truck. Love the work that you do. I build 1/24 1/25th scale model cars and trucks because I can't afford the real ones😂 I get my inspiration from real cars and trucks...thank you for sharing your work. Definitely inspiration for a future project.
That is just perfect all round. I love the fact that 99.5% of people would just see an old truck .

First rate experience for sure. Gosh that's classy.
This is how you should build all Derelicts going forward. Love the "hidden" restored engine bay and interior. Props to the owner. Great ideas! 👍
I agree Ed!
Now THATS a sleeper.....what a nice ride my friend.....
Absolutely love the leather/color and the barn wood fits awesomely perfect - countless stars!!!
A perfect rebuild - all the conveniences of modern era vehicles hidden in the rustic beauty of yesteryear. I WANT THIS ONE!
This truck is so perfect. Another dream build.
I loved seeing the successful fusion of old/vintage and of new technology and touches.
Love this generation pickup trucks!
This particular truck is my dream come true!
This is it. This is my favourite Thriftmaster you have ever done. Absolutely perfect.
my words exactly. yes. nice!
Yet another perfect intersection of brilliant engineering and astatic beauty!

@@ICON4x4Design I thought about space constraints but did not think it was too small....Thanks for the reply!

Nailed it! “Outro” sweet and satisfying. Three point seat belt integration so subtle u would think it was stock!
That Pick Up must be the best Thriftmaster you've built so far, just wonderful and beautifully and thoughtfully executed.

All the amenities of new, but no one looks twice at these derelict trucks and cars.
That is a work of art. That is so freakin awesome!
Excellent vehicle, excellent video. Thank you Jonathan from the UK.
A world class build as usual. Love the truck and the video!
Beautiful work love the balance of color and the wood grain in the truck bed.
Brilliant. Your work is fabulous. Have followed your many Icons and really enjoy the originality, and the engineering. Fabulous.
I think this is the best derelict Chevy yet from Icon. Love the work you do, this truck is just right!
Another beyond beautiful truck
A new favorite! Phenomenal!!! 👍🏼
Love the work you folks do, it’s amazing quality craftsmanship.👍👍🇨🇦
Thanks Rick!
I love it when you do old pickups! This one (as usual) is exceptional.....!!!!!!!
My favorite derelict so far! Love this truck, and the bed wood puts it over the top. Great to have you back, Jonathan.
Who doesn’t love a good Thrift Master Derelict .. has all of the modern drivetrain and patina body .. like that you added rear steering too.
Personally this is dream build! You have out done yourselves once again.
Great spec!
Great new derelict video, can’t wait to see the Benz
Awesome build mate!
Amazing amazing build as always but this time it was even more special because your watch & waist coat goes very well with truck

love the chassis shots. They really help appreciate what's going on here.
My favorite builder. Nice work.
Very cool outro! Just Transports the full feeling! 👌
Outstanding build as always. Thanks for sharing and nice outro!
Manual👏Glad to hear, "long live the manual". I have been concerned that that was going to be an argument we were going to have when my day comes.

Love the Derelict projects, very cool truck! The new Intro and Outro are great!
Very nice build... for safety it would be cool if headrest electrically raised up out of the seat back only while driving.
so many amazing details on this one…. I’m an FJ guy, but wow this thing is beautiful
Stunning truck, if I win the lottery I’d get all your lineup!
This truck is perfect! That’s the correct way (imo) to build a classic truck. Beautiful job.
Love the idea, 'Never Judge By The Cover'! The underside, engine bay, aged bed, and interior are just perfect to the 3 point seat belts and heated seat, like a little more seat back. Definitely no drinks in here with the lack of under seat protection for the electronics.👍🏾
I really like that look, with the patina on the outside and the quality paint on the inside. Also, I am looking at the saint tires for my explorer ST.
I love the derelict builds.
Thank you for sharing your art Mr. Ward. I fell in love with this project.
Greetings from Argentina.
2:32 muchas gracias por recomendar cajas manuales!
fabulous build
It's probably my all-time favorite Derelict truck... Outstanding
Another beautifully built vehicle Jonathan ! I wait for the releases of your new builds to see what you have come up with next. Great stuff.
Every one better than the last! Artwork.
Great one Would love to see another shop tour
Me encanta esa camioneta está súper genial, una verdadera Jolla, lista para divertirse 💪💪👍👍👌👌
Next time, consider artillery wheels and art deco caps. Love these, keep ‘em coming.
awesome video. Love the new layout. keep it going
Love the outro! I think that the Derelicts are the best builds you do. Anyone can do a restomod but doing your Derelicts takes more imagination and creativity. Keep up the great work!

Got to say I’m 100% with what the client wanted I would do it exactly the same
You guys just do it so right 😍😍👍👍
Keep these videos coming..super dope!!
Great as always. Would love to see a derelict FSJ some day.
When you get older and have bad knees, manual can be annoying if not painful. Automatic is better in this case.
Absolutely beautiful truck Jonathan!
I am a 1953 model - I will push a clutch pedal every day :)
@@PaulYeatonFamily That's good!
LOVE the outro! Well done. I really like this truck with the derelict on the outside, clean and fresh on the inside - if I had the money that’s how I’d like to do it. Thank you so much for sharing these creations with us and all the production you put into these videos!
I love what you've done here so much. This is the perfect blend of old and new. So many very good decisions were made, and expertly implemented.
My favorite truck. 47-53 Chevy 3100…
Well done - again !! Love the more normal stance. Love the blend of new finish on interior and under the hood with the patina exterior - good blend. Love the modern wheels with original hub caps. Just so many touches to be proud of 😀
Jonathan! Hope you’re doing well! In the back drop I noticed the 47 Hudson pickup truck! Red! You’ve had it for a long while.
Absolutely stunning! The mix of understatedness and cool with driveability gives a laid back feel that’s just perfect!
Eventhough we have a bunch of old Cruisers, I’d love to see what you could do with my Volvo TP21 Sugga…
Wow it’s the bed wood for me just tied everything together so we’ll! 😍
That is a thing of Beauty ❤️
Love the Derelicts! Would love to see a panel truck version of this done......

Thx!
Gorgeous 👍

Hittin it out of the park as usual. 👍
Fantastic truck 👍🏻
Wish I had one
She Is one of the best for my test
This is beautiful.
Thank you for another great video.
Cool,you did it again!
Love the derelict's... Wish u did more of them... How long is the waiting list for one of your builds? Take care Johnathan, good to see you again..
The waitlist vary by production model. Right now, anywhere from 1 to 4 years. Thank you Gary!
I think the Thriftmasters are some of your best work. But then I'd say the same about all your other Derelicts.
I wish you’d do a fifth generation f100 derelict. I’d love to see what you’d come up with.
Perfect. Well done 👍
These trucks are amazing. The fact that most people would just walk past them laughing trying to figure out why someone would drive them. Totally hilarious. THEY JUST DON'T KNOW.
BAD. ASS. They just tell a story, every single time.
The manual transmission makes it the coolest truck.
love your videos...you do great work...
Nice!!!! 👍👍
Nice truck.
Love the work that you do.

Wabi sabi derelict, nice work Jonathan
Dig it the most! Including the new outro!
Easily in the top 5 of the 17 TR builds.
Highest compliment: beautiful.
