Wow! The most exhaustive walk through of the PixInsight process. In very simple words. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

Thank you for watching. There's so much to learn, I hope this helps newcomers get started!

Good selection! I could add dynamic crop and color calibration. Other functions are advanced, but used quite often.

Yeah I picked five that people are most commonly going to use... but only five of them! In reality it's a lot more.

I just started using PixInsight today and I can certainly see the potential with it. Videos like this are critical to taming the beast! THANKS! :)

Oh, it is a beast alright! There's a ton to learn but the results are well worth it. Thanks for watching :)

I also use these tools almost all the time. I also use star reduction quite frequently to emphasize the nebula, especially when shooting in or near the Milky Way galaxy. I used Starnet2++ for a long time before biting the bullet and purchasing StarXTermunator.

Starnet vs StarXterminator: both have their place. It's really picture dependent though. But yeah, all of the processes are always used :)

It's added to the list, it'll probably be a month or so before I start in on that.

I never use curves (I will need to try using it more often), I tend to rely on histogram as you can manipulate individual colors there as well. I use Auto Background Extraction instead of DBE. I use the dynamic geometry tool for cropping and I often use unsharpen mask.

ABE does have it's place, I've seen it make some good results when my DBE choices weren't the best. It's always good to play around and find what is best for each specific image.
