That was from Much Music, Canada's music video channel, sort of our MTV. It is from the 1999 MuchMusic Video Awards show. The song is a three chord classic, and then Lenny scaled that down to just one chord and a riff. 🙂 This song was written on stage in the 1960s, and was released in 1970. It is an anti-Vietnam war protest song, despite Burton Cummings constantly attempting to reframe it. The US was very unpopular at the time because of that in Canada, and many other places around the world.
Harri! I'm so glad you liked it as I thought you might like it! Dueling versions ... I think no winner except all of us. Randy Bachman even slipped in his guitar solo from the original but this time as background fill .... it's hard to compete with Lenny. Oh, and what's the name of that other guy again ... ?? Oh, yes, Burton Cummings LOL. Cheers mate!
Too cool...what a combo...incredible!!!!❤
Very cool! Love it!
That was fantastic
Burton Cummings is still performing today and he still sounds great.
That's a pretty cool video. Don't forget Burton and co. are bringing their best over 50 years (5 decades) later. Very enjoyable.
That was a lot of fun, thanks Jk and Harri. A little Canadian tv trivia, that was Ed the Sock doing the introduction.

WOW, wish I could have been there.
Simply MAJESTIC! (Mike Drop-booooom).
✨️❣️reaction & both bands❣️✨️
when they were in their prime they would have blown Lenny off the stage & I do love Lenny 😊
What a fantastic choice JK, such a great combination. Thanks to you and to The Sultan.

Great song choice Thank you Jk and Harri
@@agnetesorensenelbom5085 Glad you liked it, Agnete!
Sounds great but I need more cow bell
Randy Bachman from Bachman Turner Overdrive (BTO) was in the original band members lineup of the Guess Who too. I didn’t see him there.
Of course he was there, playing his guitar next to Burton as usual.
Burton Cummins is as iconic as Canadian Maple Syrup.
You should listen to earlier versions of this song by The Guess Who.
An all Canadian stage playing outdoors in the winter.
