This guy just said 2017 was a crazy year... Really hoping he's okay in 2021. 😬
Hah I had the exact same thought!
😂🤣
I was thinking the same.. "let's see what he thinks about 2020 and 2021.."
Beautiful, functional, all the luxuries.
Just a great job. Love the colors.
I would feel comfortable and happy living in such a comfy space♡
Wow, super impressed with all you got into this conversion. You and your wife can go anywhere and still have home with you. Love it!
Wowww!!! I am sold...this is the nicest tiny house build I've ever seen...Thank you for helping me to decide what direction to go....cargo trailers rock!
This is one of the best conversions I've ever seen.
Thank you
Tina Gallagher :-) I was thinking the same thing
Ditto in spades!! Excellent!
I'm also agreeing with you Tina. I really luv the easy access to the storage under the bed, as well as the entire front washroom, closet, storage, shower & 'barn door'!! Bravo!
Me too
Great design, you've done an amazing job. Lots of storage. At first I thought the light switches were the old antique doorbells. They are rocking. Money was wisely spent on your well thought out remodel. Great Job
Thank you very much.
I love the light switches too...
Wow! Beautiful! Great work
This truly is the best conversion I’ve ever seen can’t believe it hasn’t been put in my feed for two years I love it thanks for sharing God bless your travels
Love the design of this version. I especially liked the cabinets over the couch; really cute!
man I LOVE that bathroom...water heater, shower, & composting toilet!
Mirror to watch the balls being washed hope u didnt miss it!!!
Just gorgeous! Fantastic job.
Thank you
All the comforts of home 🏡 just beautiful the fireplace amazing💗 most comfortable one I have ever seen. Just amazing
HELLO Jason! Subscribed! First a huge thank you. I am in research and education mode over the next 2 years for my 8 x 16 conversion, before hitting the road. I just wanted to say that I sincerely appreciate you sharing all of this. It means a lot and gets me excited about my own build out. Love your choice of space. So grateful for your inspiration as a newbie. And oh, I plan to be a full-timer, mainly boondocking.
Wow! So well thought out and amazing artistic detail. I live you take on a steamp pump look and indoor plumbing. Love the dual purpose sliding door! Really really nice!
Thank you very much!
Thank you.
Sorry for all the typos!!
Not to be unkind but the word is Steampunk. :-)
Inkdraft they apologized before you criticized. It may have been speech to text and steampunk wasn't a word it knew.
The channel understood.
Nice rig. Well thought out. Good job. Congratulations!!
Thank you.
just getting into the research over the tiny living world. your 2nd conversion is amazing. excellent use of space. great job.
Fantastic conversion- I could definitely live in that. It's beautiful, the pride in your work shows. Thanks for sharing!!!
recycled blue jeans?! that's so cool!
Yeah, I love the insulation.
Wow! Beautiful tiny home y'all have there! I really want to build one too. Thank you for the great ideas. G-d bless y'all!
I’ve watched a lot of these trailer conversion videos. This is the best layout by far.
OMGoodness I adore this conversion. This is the best cargo truck conversion I've seen. From the clean styling to how he used Ikea cabinets to his concern about VOCs, including those in wood products. (Those are important considerations in one's home as well. My carpenter, after working with me, told me that he plans to take those safety precautions in his own home. Apparently doubting me, he did his own research.) It feels spacious and has plenty of storage. It even has an electric fireplace. For full time living, I'd have mounted the TV on the ceiling and put a drop down table top over the fireplace for extra workspace when needed. Art and an shelf that remains in an upright position regardless of the position of the table top could be on the side facing the interior when not in use. For part time living, it's perfect.
I love this conversion!! I would definitely do mine white also, only because I would be able to see a spider creeping up!! 😊
If you do paint it white..consider painting the ceiling with a touch of blue as in sky blue...for some reason spiders do not like that environment. ..

dang this camper is mega cool , Great Job and very creative , love love it !!
Love the clean simplicity of the design, and admire your workmanship.
Hands down best conversion trailer I've have seen. Very good job.
Very, very cool. Wonderful job and beautiful decor!
Thank you
What a beautiful job you did!!!
Thanks
I went to Art School and feel like I could do some of the woodwork parts but the wiring and electrical feels daunting to me. It seems you had such a structural knowledge the way you put it together seemed so efficient. Great skills to have:)
Thank you. The electrical was tough at first, but after a lot of research, I figured it out.
You are a genius!!! This is the most amazing, clean looking, organized, love the way the cube like cabinets are lsyered on thecwall, bath rm out standing, Woweeee, so secure too,Best one EVER!!!! YOU could make some $$$ making these for others, but, that would rob timecto enjoy your own and traveling!!!!!☆☆☆☆
You are the man! I NEVER thought to put plumbing inside so as not to freeze. Brilliant!
This is one of the best conversions I've ever seen as well. You did a fabulous job.
Getting ready to do my own soon. The VOC's were a bog concern but the insulation tip is great! Apartment size appliance's are bets I see and I think IKEA furniture is a really good idea. Hey thanks for the work you put into this. It's sure going to help me along and try to get it right!!!
Thank you and good luck with your build.
WOW!!! Lot of really neat little touches there! ( like the sink and those awesome light switches ) VERY well thought out and very nice looking! I bet you could sell the heck out of those if you kept the price very reasonable.
Thank you. I thought about making and selling some, but keeping the price reasonable would be difficult because it takes a lot of labor.
I think people can sell mostly anything if they don't need to make enough money to feed and support their families.
make & do how much would a ballpark figure be if you were to include labour?
Even with the labor! This space is perfect!
The exposed plumbing is great. Lots of good ideas here !
Awesome build, so many cool little touches. Looks like you turned an accident into an upgrade - y'all rock for making that happen. Wishing you safe travels & priceless memories.
Love ❤️ this! You are definitely skilled/talented. One of my favorite videos for sure! 😊
Thank you very much.
Dude that's really nice In the future i would totally buy one already done for a decent price , but it looks like I will have to build one myself so I study RUclips vids and this video has got to be in my top 3 for sure , thank you kindly for posting!!!!
This is just PERFECT! Has everything one would need, even a CLOSET! You have done a fabulous job! I want one now!! Kudos!
Very impressive! We plan to retire in a cargo conversion and this has got to be one of the best I've seen so far! Fantastic job! The shower floor is sooo beautiful by the way. There is nothing I would change!
An absolutely superb job! You have a very good design esthetic as well as innovative use of materials. I'm happy for you that it has worked out so well for you. I could easily live in it.
How long can you operate off grid, or can you?
Cheers!
As long as I can bring in water to replace what I use from my 20 gallon tank and fuel for my generator, I can stay off-grid indefinitely. However, I would really need to install solar panels if I plan to go off-grid for an extended length of time.
Nice counter top!! I thought it looked like polished cement. Same with the shower floor!! I could totally live in that if you took out the tv and play station. I would rather have a stereo and computer hookups.
Thank you. That is exactly what we were going for with the countertop and shower pan...a cement look.
I love how u used the space. U didn't waste a bit and u have everything u need.
What a great job. Especially like your feedback re the composting toilet and the concern for minimizing VOC materials. Kudos to you.
fantastic i wish i knew all that building stuff
Thanks. Glad you like it.
Have your husband build you one
Love it! The only downside would be the lack of windows/a view/natural light. I really like the efficient, organized functionality which is also aesthetically pleasing. Thank you for sharing.
I think this is the best build I’ve seen to date. Great job! The wife and I could easily live in it year round.
Fantastic renovation. For one person, this would be ideal. Wonderful craftsmanship
I thought the other was awesome but this one trumps that one. Awesome job!! sorry about your accident, glad you are ok. I am a recent subscriber and enjoy your informative and in depth videos. I will be stealing some of your idea, hope you don't mind lol.
Thank you....and steal all you want. That's what they are there for.
Thank you very much.
I would need more windows and/or sky light so not feel so boxed in or clostophobic (so)...but so love the setup
Sometimes you want to park in a place where you don't have light showing from inside to the outside, alerting anyone you are "camping" there.
Windows would be nice! But stealth camping is also nice! I saw a video where a person made 1” styrofoam pads to fit into the windows for winter camping, this would also work for stealth camping.
Claustrophobic. I agree with you. Needs some views.
This is a great temporary off-grid or bug-out vehicle. Thank you for showing us!
Best build out of all the conversions I have watched! Love it you did so well 🙂
The down side of your kitchen sink is that its galvanized bucket, which means bleach will make it rust, so don't use bleach in your sink. I used bleach to soak my dirt white socks, and i was using a galvanized bucket sink which the bleach made my bucket rust, just thought i would would share. I love your cargo built travel trailer.
Thanks for the advice. I didn't know that about bleach.
Great job !
Thanks
I Love your Cargo Trail/Tiny House.
Fabulous Craftmanship!
Thanks for being so thorough. Sold me on the composting toilet and definitely gave me some inspiration for the plumbing.
I wish you had an escape window or door near the bed. If a fire breaks out in the kitchen area, you will be trapped. Otherwise, I love everything, especially the fireplace.
That was my thoughts also, be a little nervous sleeping in the back with no escape route other then the door at the front. Other then that its a beautiful job.
759wingit Can he go under the bed and out the door he showed from the outside? He never got back to that.
The best fire safety is the one that prevents them. all electrical could go in fire proof enclosures. Everything well fused so it prevent overloads. I would not have gas inside the trailer the water heater needs to be outside. Good smoke alarms is another item that gets overlooked. skip the smoke alarms that you buy at Walmart or other big box stores. A rear window would be nice to look outside and to let natural light inside, it could double as an escape to the outside.
susan olson I think it's a good idea to have at least two entrances in case of an emergency.
Not all camper trailers have an exscape hatch or second door
Nice job so what's the total cost breakdown of everything including trailer?
paul wicks following
??? $
Did anyone find out the total cost? I've seen these trailers go for as little as 4 grand
9k
He said about 11k but that includes all the electronics and the $1000 composting toilet. It’s in one of the earlier comments
Out of all the videos that I have just watched on converting these cargo trailers into camper trailers yours is the only one I like; you have a bathroom and a shower and it isn't a home until you have a bathroom toilet and a shower. Your method makes my dreams.
You are so very talented. This conversation is one of my favorite. Great job!!!👍
Very nice job but........ You seem concerned with VOCs with good reason but what about the off gassing of the battery? Not to be melodramatic but you are sleeping on top of a hydrogen bomb! I highly suggest putting the battery in a sealed box vented from its highest point to the outside. Be safe, cheers
Not sure what kind of battery he has, but lithium batteries offgas and can spontaneously combust. Even when not in use.
Was there solar on the roof?
@@recoveringsoul755 I don't recall him mentioning anything about solar usage. I don't think he's using any. I'm VERY concerned with explosions, combustions, which makes me very weary of propane, how can I work around this issue?
Ever see a car battery blow up?
Didnt think you have. That is an extremely rare occurence for the billion out thereveveryvday.
Its not a very big blow at all.
A vented battery box is readily available for $20 .
Where do you eat as I don't see a table set up, otherwise it is perfect?
I forgot to show that. I have a small fold out table that I store under the bed. It has an adjustable height and works great.
make & do I thought so since you thought of everything else !👍
:)
make & do
You have done a great job on this tiny home,
Simple ,Beautiful And Practical Craftsmanship,
Love this tiny home !One the best I've seen!😊👍
Thank you
Excellent artistic features. Thanks for addressing the VOC problem that most people don't seem to understand. I am a big fan of the use of metal... light weight and durable. Cargo trailers are such a good choice! Thanks
Thank you.
Love the way you did the bathroom. Well done on the whole project.
No real windows! Windows help one feel like the place is bigger & if you like the outdoors, it keeps you closer to it...That's just me. I don't like feeling like I'm living in a box. I like more of a free flowing mini home design that I can see out of...But everyone is different! 😀
I need two exits to feel safe
Judy Gordon how sad
@@misamisa2677 Makes sense to me. A fire or an intruder means a second exit could save your life.
Absolutely awesome! I’m a new sub. Single mom, going to build my own tiny. Just was thinking tonight, there must be someone that has built a tiny in a cargo trailer... then found you! Definitely part of my inspiration! Thank you!
Beautiful build!!!! Glad you mentioned the composting toilet. Really leaning that direction.
Do you do rebuilds for other people? $$. 😃👍
Sorry, but I do not. It would be too expensive because the cost would double with labor.
PassinTime how much for one like this
But maybe we want to pay you for your labor and expertise! ?? I sure would. But I would help too and buy all of the materials myself, maybe that would cut down the cost of your labor?
I've had several other people ask that as well. One big issue is that we most likely do not live near one another and I wouldn't want to travel as I already do a lot of that.
For someone that's in between jobs, how much would it cost to build one of these? I sure wouldn't mind putting one like this together for sale. I'm pretty handy and like the idea of building one. We have a 40' gooseneck that we plan to build out in the next few months. I think it'll be cheaper than getting an RV and my wife gets it EXACTLY how she wants it.
IM gonna be living like this in the near future. ANYTHING to get away from my parents
As a parent myself, I'm sure they wish you Godspeed.
This entire trailer re-do is brilliant. I wish I had that kind of talent.
Stunning build, Jason! Love it!
Great conversion. I like the ship lap walls. The color makes it look bigger.
Dude, I'm really feeling that copper pipe and corrugated metal vibe.
This is a 1000 times better than it was and perhaps the best cargo conversion I have seen yet.
Well done.
Wow your house is awesome. Love the little touches like your wife's photography or that bottle opener.
Best cargo trailer conversion I've ever seen awesome job
Amazing floor plan. Will take notes when I Design and build my tiny house . Thanks for all the great shopping tips.
It is so nice! You and your wife did amazing job!
I’ve watched countless projects such as yours on RUclips. Bro, your setup is tops!
I really like how the plumbing on the inside of the shower looks actually!
I am ever so happy I clicked on your video. This is just what I’m looking for in a cargo trailer. I want a shower and compost toilet among other things, but you’ve proven this can easily be done. Okay, one needs to know what they’re doing, but it can be done.
Of course I would do some things differently, but only because we all have different needs. I’m just happy to have seen yours and how well thought out and completed yours is. I look forward to your other videos on how to do this.
I love your toggle switches too!
Thanks so much for sharing!
Be well,
Ma’iingankwe
Okay I really really dig this build. As someone who has being researching tiny spaces for living spaces I have seen a lot, this one would have to be in my top ten Favs. I like your style, and admire your manners. Thanks.
Thank you very much!
Really great job, looks fantastic and I hope it serves you well.
Looks super cozy! Great job!
Really nice build. Covered all the creature comforts. Understanding VOC is beneficial, great job
thanks so much for taking the time to help we will be building a cargo trailer out soon all the info helps more then you can know!!
REALLY great job you did with the trailer. And you explain everything clearly and concisely.
Very intelligent build. Great layout with all the important things including a full bathroom plus I really like your decoration touches especially the corrugated metal. Great job!
I've been looking at conversions for about a year, and this is my favorite!
Thank you
Very nicely organized and informational cargo conversion video. And that includes the detailed list of all items of what they are and where obtained. Very much a jewel video. Thanks!
Absolutely awesome. Can't wait to see more of your work. Thanks for sharing...
Have not seen the original trailer, but I surely like this version. Nice work in the nose & a great size for a fridge. Nice Job & Thanks.
This is AMAZING!!!!! What you did to this trailer could be a gold mine if you did this for a living!!!!!
AWESOME!! Everyone builds to accommodate them. This is the best build for what I would want. Thanks
Fantastic design. I am going to get an 8.5 x 24 trailer I like the wood stain you did and the water mark thingy in your shower was really cool.
Very nice job on the conversion. I didn't see the original but this new Mobil home is a sweet one. Thx fir sharing
Love the sink and barn door💚
This is brilliant. I think this is the best one I've seen yet. Great job.
Wow, amazing job! I'm also really happy to see you commenting on the VOCs as I may have been one to comment in the other videos as it something I rarely see people putting any thought to. I have the exact same trailer I'm working on converting now and you gave me some great ideas!
Thank you.
Awesome job, man! One of the best, or probably the best conversion I’ve seen.
Love loved this conversion!! You did an AMAZING job!!
Very nice!! Great job. One of the best conversions I have seen.
What an amazing tiny house.......I just love it when you can do things yourself, you are so blessed......its beautiful
Thank you
Very well done!! I like the idea of all the plumbing inside, easily accessible..
Thank you.
