  • @IExpectedBSJustNotThisMuchBS
    @IExpectedBSJustNotThisMuchBS 5 лет назад

    OMGoodness I adore this conversion. This is the best cargo truck conversion I've seen. From the clean styling to how he used Ikea cabinets to his concern about VOCs, including those in wood products. (Those are important considerations in one's home as well. My carpenter, after working with me, told me that he plans to take those safety precautions in his own home. Apparently doubting me, he did his own research.) It feels spacious and has plenty of storage. It even has an electric fireplace. For full time living, I'd have mounted the TV on the ceiling and put a drop down table top over the fireplace for extra workspace when needed. Art and an shelf that remains in an upright position regardless of the position of the table top could be on the side facing the interior when not in use. For part time living, it's perfect.

      The best fire safety is the one that prevents them. all electrical could go in fire proof enclosures. Everything well fused so it prevent overloads. I would not have gas inside the trailer the water heater needs to be outside. Good smoke alarms is another item that gets overlooked. skip the smoke alarms that you buy at Walmart or other big box stores. A rear window would be nice to look outside and to let natural light inside, it could double as an escape to the outside.

    No real windows! Windows help one feel like the place is bigger & if you like the outdoors, it keeps you closer to it...That's just me. I don't like feeling like I'm living in a box. I like more of a free flowing mini home design that I can see out of...But everyone is different! 😀

    Absolutely awesome! I’m a new sub. Single mom, going to build my own tiny. Just was thinking tonight, there must be someone that has built a tiny in a cargo trailer... then found you! Definitely part of my inspiration! Thank you!

    Do you do rebuilds for other people? $$. 😃👍

    • @kinduo
      @kinduo  6 лет назад +22

      Sorry, but I do not. It would be too expensive because the cost would double with labor.

    • @gypsyqt6904
      @gypsyqt6904 6 лет назад +4

      But maybe we want to pay you for your labor and expertise! ?? I sure would. But I would help too and buy all of the materials myself, maybe that would cut down the cost of your labor?

      I've had several other people ask that as well. One big issue is that we most likely do not live near one another and I wouldn't want to travel as I already do a lot of that.

      For someone that's in between jobs, how much would it cost to build one of these? I sure wouldn't mind putting one like this together for sale. I'm pretty handy and like the idea of building one. We have a 40' gooseneck that we plan to build out in the next few months. I think it'll be cheaper than getting an RV and my wife gets it EXACTLY how she wants it.

    I am ever so happy I clicked on your video. This is just what I’m looking for in a cargo trailer. I want a shower and compost toilet among other things, but you’ve proven this can easily be done. Okay, one needs to know what they’re doing, but it can be done.
    Of course I would do some things differently, but only because we all have different needs. I’m just happy to have seen yours and how well thought out and completed yours is. I look forward to your other videos on how to do this.
    I love your toggle switches too!
    Thanks so much for sharing!
    Be well,
