Thinking of replacing the flooring at my house and can get some Bruce Frisco Saddle Oak 3-1/4 from Lowe’s for about $1.60/sqft from a wholesaler which seems insanely cheap. What do you think about that?

Sometimes we do, but normally we would use sealer.

why refinish the floor if you can just get new wood floors
The cost factor of new hardwood greatly eclipses the cost of just a refinish.
To replace these floors would probably cost upwards of $70,000! So it's a lot more cost effective to refinish these floors rather than replace them.
