People moaning about the auctioneers commission are clueless. The auction house could be rented, then there's the business rates, council tax, energy bills, staff wages, advertising items takes time and money, tax, VAT and the list is endless.

If that watch was indeed 'Found' and it's true owner had reported it lost, there could be some very challenging questions to be answered. @Jack mason depends if it was involved in an insurance claim or not. On pawn stars stolen items that ended up being bought by legitimate people who had the items for years but decided to sell, were completely legal for pawn stars to buy afterwords but only if insurance had paid out on the claim. For instance a man pawned them a coin he had for years and after the purchase it was ran through a database and came up stolen. Even though pawn stars already purchased it (all their items are run through a national database) but since the original owner had been "paid out" by insurance for the specific item, pawn stars were allowed to keep it and it was taken off the registry. Now had there not been any insurance on this item or a paid claim then it may have ended differently and had to be returned to original owner no matter how many hands it went through over the years and who ever ended up with it last (pawn stars) would have been the ones out of the money. Everything is a gamble if you aren't the original owner or from the family that owned it, especially if it doesn't include paperwork when you buy it.
