I don’t know much about art but I know what I don’t like and I don’t like that…people can be so pretentious about art and wine. Both types are bonkers.
I have one genuine Question to all History/Art - Lovers out there: Can someone maybe tell me about Paintings of Irish Wolfhounds? Because i had the great Luck to be proud Mum to Gladys, the most beautiful, elegant, sensitive and loving Dog one could wish for. As i am a (retired) Veterinarian Nurse, she was gifted to me (since all my Pets were/are Rescues) and she was really my soulmate. Gladys passed away 2 Years ago and i miss her every Day. I would be really happy about any response. 💚 Edit: A ceramic statuette/figurine would be great, too!
I generally don’t like Staffordshire figures but that collection the gent here has is really cool. The fact he picked out ones that are all of the similar style and period is fantastic. Now the figures of cats and dogs are weird… but this set I like.
That first watch….only £4,000 !!!!!!!! I don’t think so. Bring it to Rick at Pawnstars, he’ll give you $1,500.00 and he takes the chance of selling it. 😂😂😂
@@wynwilliams6977 Also add in fashion changes, some of these items getting even more desirable and rarer... Also the prices are only estimates. Somebody mentioned in another comment that the Lowry painting was sold in 2021 for over 600,000 GBP. That could have been a Corona high, though (some markets went absolutely crazy during the pandemic).
The Lowry painting Street Scene 1937 featured in this clip sold in 2021 for GBP 622,500
I just don't get why people like those.
@@blktauna I enjoy Lowry's art. It's simple scenes and figures that he somehow makes feel alive. I can see how it's a bit Marmite though

Thank you for telling us.
@@PetroicaRodinogaster264 hence why you don't understand Art. It's a Legacy of a person's mind left for the ages.
That man and his mickey mouse toy are precious.

I'd be afraid anything green. Sorry
The valuations seem way too low.
This is from about 25 years ago :) taking into account inflation the prices would be doubled today in terms of value of the pound
