Incredible how complex and time-consumingg and labor intensive are these war machines
When all the wheels are off the ground they log those hours as flight hours on the airframe.
Now it would be great if the maintaininence procedures were explained

What does it mean when you see two C-5s parked on an airfield and one of them is up on jacks? It means the airfield has only one set of jacks that can lift a C-5. (It's an old joke from the bad old days when the airplane had a lot of landing gear malfunctions.)

Exert some of that genius to having the jacks at a pre set height to minimize time raising. For sure have a hole drilled through the threads every six inches where you can insert a rod and spin the rod instead of trying to hold and turn a heavy slippery shaft at over head height. Or better yet a battery pack on each jack with an electric motor to raise and lower the head. It's 2024 people, let's go!!
