"You've Already Made the Team", sermon by The Rev. Ranie Neislar, August 4, 2024. Game Day is coming, September 8! What is your skillset? We all have individual gifts to serve our community. And therefore, because we have all been created for the goodness that is diversity in the church, we have to suss out those gifts. Sometimes it might not be obvious, but we have to think about it a little bit. Where am I being called? Are you a playmaker with great vision? There is a place for you here, maybe even the vestry. There is a spot where you can exercise radical hospitality. So take these next few weeks, discern what you've been skillfully created for. Because this team is making a mark here in our community on Hawthorne Avenue in Homewood, in Birmingham, and you have been set apart uniquely to play an important role in our work with God and each other.
