DIY CACAO FACE POWDER: SIMPLE RECIPE

One of the first DIY natural makeup products I ever made was a DIY Cacao Face powder from simple ingredients found in my kitchen. At the time, I had such sensitive skin that I couldn't use store-bought makeup powders without risking painful breakouts or skin irritation lasting for weeks. Once I discovered how easy it is to make natural face powder with simple ingredients, I have been making loose powder from cocoa and other ingredients like arrowroot powder ever since. I am excited to share my tried and tested recipe with you today.

INGREDIENT LIST:
1/4 cup of Arrowroot (amzn.to/3xO3A6w) powder-organic cornstarch can be used instead; however, arrowroot provides a silkier finish and a lighter feel to the powder.
2 TB. of Cacao powder (amzn.to/3lWkVYx)- cacao powder is preferred for its rich antioxidant content; however, if the high price of cacao is discouraging, you can use cocoa powder instead.
1 teaspoon of Beetroot powder(amzn.to/41eSSUi)- get the perfect shade for your skin tone by adding just the right amount of beetroot powder. If you cannot access beetroot, consider using dried hibiscus powder.
1 teaspoon of Bentonite clay powder(amzn.to/41teQm... clay powder is the secret ingredient to making this cacao powder a stunning finished product. The Bentonite clay acts like a sponge for your skin, absorbing oils and grime and wicking it away from the skin. Keeping your skin healthy, glowing, and less prone to breakouts due to clogged and dirty pores.
Optional Ingredients:
Add 1-3 drops of your favorite essential oil to your DIY face powder for an enhanced aromatherapy
