I worked in Cairo for 18 months. This video is pretty much accurate. Dense (an understatement), loud, crowded, great people, a great Egyptian vibe, colorful, and ancient (yet we see some selfies being taken). The food is excellent (and affordable). The great pyramids and Sphinx are across the Nile from where this video was taken, at the western edge of Cairo. I don't remember the exact number, but the population swells by millions during the day from people visiting from the suburbs (yes, there are suburbs in Cairo) and beyond.
I am so impressed with the kind hearted nature of average everyday citizens of Cairo, Egypt. What a beautiful city and peaceful, beautiful society of people. A true utopia of friendliness.
As a Puerto Rican American I love Egypt. I’ve been there five times and I will always keep on going. There’s something really magical and special. Love it.

The architecture is incredibly beautiful. Loved it when people responded to your camera though I wish that you had concentrated more on the architecture than on the hordes of people.

Hey, I have a question. From time to time I see men walking together cuffing arms. I assume that its not as they're a "couple couple" but a party trying to stick together in a busy street. Not having to break link if they have to walk around people. I just never seen a practice like this in america. Or usually it has a different meaning here. Is this a normal practice in other parts of the world? As not not simply get lost in a vast crowd or safety reasons like pickpocketers?
