    Nothing beats a couple old flathead screwdrivers for prying things apart. Thank god the days of flathead screws are behind us.

      I share your sentiment as far as flatheads go, but torx are also an invention of the devil. _Nothing_ collects dirt better or strips out faster in an automotive application than a torx fastener. I prefer hex drive, either internal ("allen") or external if I can get it. With internal hex, at least you have a hope of pounding a straight blade into it, or maybe the next size up hex, to get it out. With torx you're just making a circle in there if you try that. 😆
      In smaller stuff like computer screws or whatever, torx are fine. It's when you get up to like T50 suspension bolts that you just know the drill and grinder are coming out. 😞
