Well, you just found out something else you can’t do. You’re supposed to cut a small way into the top when there’s pressure like that and then cut from the bottom up. That way you wouldn’t have had to put the wedges in and you wouldn’t have almost cut your leg off.
Just bought an early stock 61 today (great condition) a rare find indeed though not nearly as rare as a new leg. From one ‘Novice’ to another… please be careful out there sir.
By chance are those green steaks the property line. Lol. I just picked up one of these that has been sitting in a garage since 96 it's a 95 model not a scratch on it or the original bar. Seems to be good I almost dont want to run it because its still brand new..
61 husky proven saw their tanks lot of grunt I put it up against a 362 and the 361 Stihl the 61 cuts a little slower but has a lot more torque and grunt! she'll put wood on the truck all day long and will be able to handle some abuse!

Wrist pin and crank diameter make a huge difference in rpm’s regardless of cc’s that I do know

I'm thinking of picking one of these saws up today it might also need a coil. Like the channel. Jason new subscriber from McLean Saskatchewan.
How do I tighten the chain
There's a crew in between the chain bar and the body, but you have to loosen the two chain bar locking screws on the outside first.
Gained 50+ subscribers today! On track 2 hit 5K before the first of the year! 👍s🆙Big Guy!
My 61 screams and all i did was remove the base gasket
Close call almost cutting your leg, yikes!! That's really scary
Please be careful
Now you need to try a McCulloch Pro Mac 60!
The old McCullochs where excellent saws. I'm certain I'll get back into them in the future. The videos you sent me where awesome!
The wedges don't have to be that tight on a downward cut. In good, but not too tight.
Definitely would have hit the saw on the ground.
dude...
