Sumireko has a bunch more legitimate friends that are closer, such as Kasen, Rinnosuke and Mokou, but the only reason I can think of for Okina's theme would be "yeah Okina helped in this game uh Okina helped in this game"
You know it was made by ZUN when it coveys a wide array of emotions: Intro sounds like a staff roll theme, like Sumireko recording or retelling her story, while the part at 1:00 sounds like the goddamn world is ending. I love that

This is a very nice arrange! The piano parts at the beginning and end are lovely, and the grace notes added throughout are a very nice touch. I like it as much as I like the original, if not more so!
It has a slight dash of Kingdom Hearts boss energy. The battle between Reimu and Sumireko is coming to climax, both are exerting their last sliver of their power. This slower version has more of that vibes.
I am disappoint that this masterpiece didn’t come up in VD.
If only this was in the final battle with Sumireko against Sumireko.

It feels so different from the original. The original is the most sorrowful final boss theme, while this is more playful.
