This is priceless. As someone who is passionate about the "Behind the scenes" in vehicles, and specifically in motorcycles, this is just a beautiful presentation. While not extremely detailed, you touched on all the important subjects. It was very fun to watch and see how everything corresponds with each other. I love how you ended the video with "I would like you to think. . . ", people like you (Thinkers!) Is what we need more of.
    Thank you!

Excellent explanation... Perhaps the most underrated video of all time... You should be getting more views.... Been riding motorcycles for 8 years and never completely understood how it works.... The motorcycle model you choose for explaining this video was very clear and generic to motorcycles we get in our country. Hence I was able to relate to it and understand it completely.... Thanks for the awesome video. Keep it up...

It would be too much for someone with no pre existing knowledge to absorb, but is an excellent summary for someone like me. This is amazing. It helps you understand on a deeper level.
I always had this incorrect notion in my head that turning the throttle would "make the pistons go faster".
But in reality, all you're doing is allowing more fuel to get sucked into the engine, then it automatically happens from that point on. So in some sense its kind of revolutionary to think, ALL the power of the engine, is already there, waiting, regardless of your throttle input.
You're not creating more power, you're just ALLOWING more power, without restraint.
So zero throttle is in fact 100% restraint, not 0% created power.
This may sound stupid to mechanics, but this is a misconception i always had.
