i guess im randomly asking but does anybody know of a trick to get back into an Instagram account?? I was stupid forgot my login password. I would love any tips you can give me!
Mickey rourke is still living but when i look and hear him in this interview, i feel the 1984 mickey rourke is someone else completely and i don’t mean just the physical part. It’s somewhat sad because not the slightest trace of that person is left in the current mickey, there’s just nothing left and i think that the same happens to most of us as we get older.... The most beautiful and surprising thing is when i see an older person who’s somehow kept their very essence intact. They don’t look the same but their essence has never left them. When i see that short interview, i also can’t help but notice what a beautiful day that was back in 1984 and i think of all the peoples whom i knew that were alive on that very day and that are gone. I was someone else on that day in 1984, in another country, in another world under a different sunlight.
Man your comment surely cuts deep, buddy! Though I wasn't there in this world in 1984. I came 7 years later.Lol. But I've always been obsessed with the 80s especially the music, movies, fashion and ofcourse actors like Mickey, who I really admire and who gave us so many kickass movies to watch. Everything about the 80s is so cool. I wish I had a time machine to go back and enjoy living in the 80s even if it's for one day! The thing you said about essence is very true. Only a very few people manage to maintain that essence in their old age. That's very sad to be honest because it's like losing your true identity amidst the ratrace we call society and with the passage of time. That true self should always stay with you, I absolutely agree! More power to you friend! Have a good day
M T : I agree with what you said in terms of knowing or not how to handle notariety. However i don’t place value or buy into glorifying anyone. My comments really derive from what i liked of mickey rourke as an artist and how good he once was in his craft. As far of him as a person, i never i said i felt i knew him personally, thankfully that’s a disorder i’ve never had but i could see why you could have that impression based from what i had commented on. I don’t know mickey rourke personally but everything i wrote are opinions and perceptions of the actor. If you’re implying that it’s wrong for me to have done that, then i can’t say that i disagree completely with you. In essence it is wrong. I don’t know who mickey rourke really is but all i know for sure in my opinion, is that he was a fine fine actor.
@@Vasu979 very similar i was born in 1977 and always love and still listen and watch 80's film and music..best period for me personally. Mickey in this interview is more than beautiful ...
When I was a teenager he was the only man who was equaly adored by boys and girls. Girls wanted guy like him,and boys wanna be like him. He even had a song about him. Legend. God bless Mickey.
I just love him. I just lost my grandmom. She was everything to me. I remember listening to Mickey talk about losing his brother and the strength he had to get through it inspires me to stay strong for my grandmom.
I will say he took the acting a step further in terms of naturalism after Brando and its realism surpassed Brando. Easily the greatest American screen actor of all time in terms of raw talent.
This is soooo amazing - thank you for uploading -please upload more. Just found him in Angel Heart last week & saw 9&1/2 Weeks last night for the first time. Always new about him during the 80's but just recently fell in love with his work. He was so beautiful during this time. Love it ; )
2:32? when he says yeah? that he liked the finished product..it kills me.and when he says what he thinks he has in common with his character..this guy has a brain, and a very poetic one! ♥
yep that's the part.the younger mickey rourke was a star bc of small moments like this. cool tough guy but with a sensitive heart. very enjoyable to watch! =)
He seems so inocent and shy...actor-business and hollywood brought out the badest sides of his character I think but everytime he had so much charisma and at least he turned into a modest, smart and wise guy...too bad he started with this face surgeries...but anyway...he´s the coolest badass on planet earth ;-)
There's just something about Mickey.. I'm not the type to get all into celebrities. But aside from his obvious physical beauty, his heart just shines through. I agree, his smile at 2:32 shows something very special about him. Learning about his story, watching his interviews, the guy has not had an easy life, yet he is so evidently a genuine, caring, true to himself human being. Much agape love Mickey- if there is a God you're one of his best works of pure art.
What I miss most about the Mickey Rourke from this era, besides his handsome , character filled face, is his sensitive........soft voice. He had the most expressive eyes. Age and life's hard knocks have changed him, maybe not for the better.
It is striking how kind & patient Mickey was to others during a time (the ‘80s) when he could have easily gotten away with being an arrogant, “bad boy” jerk. He has survived some tough times - mentally & physically - but he demonstrates youthful humility here. Even today, few actors are as accommodating to paparazzi & fans as Rourke continues to be. He signs autographs & is never the initiator of rudeness. Rourke & Johnny Depp appear to have similar attitudes regarding fans - they both show respect & gratitude. As to paparazzi, they also appear to share a similar saturation/trigger point.
I absolutely love Mickey! He is an amazing brilliant actor and such a wonderful person! He will always have a special place in my heart! I love u Mickey from the bottom of my heart/to the depths of my soul!
steve conn i agree but he just didn't seem to like it after a few years - come Angel Heart he said that he just did it for the money and do it for a short while more! I guess he just followed what he wanted to do but it's not to say that these things were good career moves! He went off the rails. Toomuch stardom can drive someone mad.. But he had a horrendous childhood without eliminating the demons before being in the public eye.
steve conn He turned down some unbelievable movie roles!! Like Beverly Hills Cop, Butch in Pulp Fiction, Batman (was given to Michael Keaton!!), Platoon (was given to Charlie Sheen!!).. I think he may have been offered Indiana Jones as well but I'm not too sure. Such a pity. He could have been Bruce Willis and Harrison ford combined!!
It's sad seeing how positive and enthusiastic Mick was here before Hollywood soured him on acting, thus becoming very cynical. Can't say I blame him, just a shame, he had way more potential than most people realise back then.
Loved seeing this interview, it’s such a shame he ruined his looks, voice and career, I think he was sexy then and in love with how he looked in the 80’s, now I can’t believe he was the same person
He’s very different here before the critics unfairly trashed Year of the Dragon. You can definitely see a change in his interviews around ‘86. He became bitter and angry after that which led to his self destruction in the 90s.
Im hetero and i can recognize indeed how much the camera loves him. Unfortunately, this is Mickey rourke's best interview in front of a lense. This is the mickey rourke that seduced the big studios . One wanders after seeing this interview, why all the craziness that followed in his life? Why did he have to self destruct inside and out in the way he did?
i guess he had rough childhood, didn't have a stable family to begin with. many problems that you have unsolved grow bigger as you grow up. guess he tried to solve them his way. still, beautiful man inside and out. very gentle soul, they always have the toughest time.
Yeppp. Somebody should had stopped him on those surgeries. All that post boxing results did have no effect on his looks. Loved and mimicked the dude as an idol growing up (hair, style) in late 80s - early 90s.
Kyle Reese had to go to 1984 to save the day once. Mickey should do the same.
Here is a foray into 1988: ruclips.net/video/eqtccaCsfow/видео.html

In an alternative reality he died in 1988 and recieved a James Dean level of legendary status.

He had his bell rung too many times sadly 😞
Life is vicious serving is tough we live in a criminal system trying to get rid of us 💉
Everyone has their finest moment in life... This is Mickey Rourke at his best!
then he would surprise ya again ...everything happens for a reason
I wish Mickey stayed like this forever man. One of my idols forever
I could sit here and listen to Mickey Rourke quietly talk outside the front of this house for hours - something very peaceful about it
ABSOLUTELY! HIs soft voice is like meditation.
He seemed very sweet in this past interview😊
How can you not love this guy.
I absolutely agree! He's an amazing brillant actor/soo funny and he a wonderful person
Amy Castor you cant not love him. He’s my favorite. I love him so much.
Too bad he turned into a degenerate!
Love his soft spoken voice, he's got this kinda gentle vulnerability, think that's what makes him so likeable and attractive..
you mean he USED to have that,...lol
+Sean Ruiz ........and then his face fell off.
I think he still has it, he just has a hardened shell nowadays.
Chloe Lane yess his voice
But smoking jacked that up
There is something in his eyes, and that smile...brilliant actor, no matter where life and choices took him.
A beautiful soul in his eyes
Mickey is so charismatic and so chill.
my God,that smile....the prettiest man who walked the Earth! love you Mick
he has such an emotional depth, one of a kind.....
True
He’s very gentle and beautiful intelligent very smart talented honest
The best Mickey rourke interview, it made me cry :')
When I was a teenager he was the only man who was equaly adored by boys and girls. Girls wanted guy like him,and boys wanna be like him. He even had a song about him. Legend. God bless Mickey.
What is the name of the song?
Yes I think same thing happened in korea. Both men and women like him
@@benanderson3791 Hey Mickey - Toni Basil

Noone could resist that smile; boyish but sad at the same time
Mickey has a beautiful heart
I adore Mickey Rourke. He is one of my favorite human beings.
Mickey with cute smile and soft voice has died long time ago.. now we have just a pale shadow of his past (so sad)
By far one of the most beautiful men on the planet ❤️
I will say he took the acting a step further in terms of naturalism after Brando and its realism surpassed Brando. Easily the greatest American screen actor of all time in terms of raw talent.
@Jackie Striegel for me Rourke is the greatest.
@ArseneWenger Agree!
Thank you 100% agree
He could be the better..but, he was so sensible.
Awww he's so cute. I love how his voice used to be soft, that's why he was a perfect Motorcycle Boy.
One of the best interviews ever !!!!! What a great Man ...
Love you Mickey Rourke!
This is...amazing ...So charismatic ...beautiful. ..gentle. ..
No matter how you look in recent years , you will always be loved!
Man,...i miss this Micky Rourke!,...the way he is now it's like totally different person...this Micky is long gone.....sad.

He was just so gorgeous, so talented, he just had ‘it’...
kind of a haunting interview very good work.
Oh my... Mickey's various stages of physical transformation is one for the history books.

Yes, he's different from back then but his soul piercing eyes and that childish, sweet smile is still there. I'm still in love with this man!

I want to crying too,he was so beautiful.

it really sucks how sad his life became. The music really fits.
In the car it’s Racin In The Streets by Bruce Springsteen.
Seems so mellow and sweet in this period. Never should have gotten slack with the acting, done shitty projects and done the boxing. Stardom suits him.

Such a doll, his beauty was very under rated. He had a lot of plastic surgery due to his boxing career, he didn't need all that surgery.
Yeppp. Somebody should had stopped him on those surgeries. All that post boxing results did have no effect on his looks. Loved and mimicked the dude as an idol growing up (hair, style) in late 80s - early 90s.
