If there is 2 reds then there is a 2/3 chance one of them is the bomber. They literally decided to take the 2/3 chance and it paid off. It's similar to the price is right rule where you should always switch doors after you pick one because your choice starts with 1/3 but after you pick one they remove a wrong one which means switching to the other door that is remaining that you didn't choose is always statistically more likely to be the right door. Statistics are fun to play with huh?
