This is one of the best discussions about taijiquan that I have ever heard. for the last couple years I have been trying to change how I have approached taiji from the 30 years before. 20 years ago, you would rarely have the opportunity to even see the old masters perform on film. now it's all out there, and there are many people trying to explain the depths and methods like Mizner, Liang De Hua, Sam Chin and others. Ma Yue Liang said it took him 10 years to feel his qi and 30 years to learn how to use it. However, no one has ever been able to describe exactly *What* qi feels like when expressing it.
@@DiscoverTaiji Thanks, and I get that. Serious question tho, was there a point in your development when you thought you had “it” and later discovered the real “it”? Does that make sense? Anyway, I appreciate the videos, lessons and concepts. 😊
That was a great interview? Does anyone know what one needs to be mindful off according to Sifu Adam's system? The I? Or something else? Because they mentioned it jokingly and said you need to be mindful of the right thing. But they didn't say what it is.
I categorized the world/reality into The KNOWN, THE UNKNOWN and THE UNKNOWABLE. And the then keeping in in the back of the mind that everything is the UNKNOWABLE, pure mystery, perfect stillness, or emptiness, perfect balance or God are all ways of saying the same or pointing at the same. Cleaning up the connection with the perfect stillness. Being still aligns with the passive force. To integrate it in the body, spirit is where it is at. Focus on stillness in all our being - The right mindfulness. Letting go of wrong or non useful grasping - so in the theory I think I am okay. In practice I would like to go further. I trained with Prana Dynamics, and do miss the martial aspect. I have some neurological issues that I have somewhat overcome due to Taiji from Liang his online school. Right now I am in a deep lull and want to pick myself up again. Hardly have people to train with here on the island. I might have to take up BJJ as it seems to be the most flexible martial art available to my here locally, but my true aim is release. So meditation, standing, and Taiji movement from release and harmonization is on the schedule. I have too many desires - the ocean is a big part of my life - surfing and fishing - but the ocean teaches allot about being released - I take Taiji/ non-dual ' right mindfulness with me when I am out and about. I truly hope that I can one day train with you Adam or some of your recommended students. I am in the Caribbean Island Curacao. And I am far from South East ASia. With zero martial arts background is how I went to Prana Dynamics twice in Antwerp. I keep in touch with some of the practitioners. The desire is there still for deeper release and the straight path. I know there is allot we can do on our own by going internal. And clearing up the blocking and limiting factors. Just by refining the song and ting. Either way I enjoyed this talk with Joey Nishad - you seem to understand each other quite well, a nice dynamic between the two of you.. Shout out to Joey! You are an inspiration . Thank you. Same to you sifu Mizner!!!

Be honest and I will explain if not. Do not project an agenda on to me that you have internalised yourself.
If A leads to B, and you do something that is not B, that means you did not do A That's what I call a contradiction with your statement. If something mimics somethings, it is not it, even if there is a vague resemblance
@@6Uncles There is no contradiction in my statements you are just making one that is not there. Your logic is flimsy even in of itself. There can be multiple causes for a thing you realise also? You are projecting stress from other parts of your life here. There is no conflict here.

Shame that this interview was ruined by the other guy's constant interruptions prematurely cutting off Adam's comments and more or less putting words into Adam's mouth by preemptive agreements that effectively blocked the flow of Adam's teaching. So irritating. That other guy should really learn to shut up and know who the teacher is and who is the idiot. And all you guys praising this awful interview are also full of similarly self important BS. Wake up, man.

Thanks Joey…Big respect for your efforts.
great discussion! thanks

the feeling can be described but it would not help, one does not fabricate the feeling.

I recommend all beginners get a tattoo of the Dan tian on the abdomen before learning the standing form
I would love to talk more with all but many find the physical action of sound vibration embedded with symbolic language tedious.
Not understanding cause and effect but being able to generate the effect shows internalisation of the cause.
only if you generate the actual effect. What people are doing is mimicking the effect

So all I’ve got to do is become a tool? Well I’m good then, mastered that years ago as you can see from this comment 😂 See you guys in the aether! 🤪
