In my opinion... If you completely loose your memories and start anew you are arguably no longer the person you were before, but someone else... In this case Caiman refers to the "him" within as the guy inside, because currently that is not him but the person he was, theoretically at least... Now let's say you continue living with this new life for a long duration, a year or more, and suddenly regain your lost memories, what happens? Are you now the new guy whom regained the memories of the old one as if viewing another person's life, but retain your new life, experiences, and perspectives which may differ from the other old one, or are you now back to your original self which still contains the new experiences and memories, but retains the old perspective goals and ideals? Or perhaps the later is more accurate but your emotions, perspectives and goals will now be effected or even clash with the old, leading to a disassociation disorder, which comes into play when confronted with a moral dilemma....the potential of outcome for such a scenario its quite unpredictable, but intriguing.

The friend who recommended it to me said it was like Harry Potter mixed with Mafia movies and produced by Cronenburg

Definitely my favourite anime of Winter 2020! It has some of the best background art I’ve ever seen in an animated series! And this might be surprising, but it’s one of those very few fictional pieces that is actually more bizarre than JoJo’s
You know what's funny about this show? It literally humanize the villains to the point that you end up routing for them, basically turning them the main characters of this series. No kidding, the villains are the best thing of this series! I FUCKING LOVE IT!
I swear, every time I see someone new get into this story, it's a different theory or prediction every single time. I am eating up these ideas, they're all so interesting.
Points that people might wanna know May be Spoilers All sorcerers have mask. Most sorcerers shoot magic out of their fingers however if the sorcerer has large amounts of smoke generation then they can shoot out of their mouth. Ebisu couldn't open the door because of the temporary blockade between the hole and the sorcerer world due to the sorcerer killings.

I started watching you guys for your Dungeon Meshi reactions, and I was thrilled to find these older reactions for another one of my current favorite anime. This is such a wild show, and so entertaining.
I'm watching through this long after the fact, but in addition to Vinland Saga and Golden Kamuy, this is one of my absolute favorite anime. I'm loving all the theorizing, even in just this first episode. ^_^

Id recommend watching each episode another time after the reaction and paying close attention to subs/lines. Netflix subs might be inaccurate compared to the original fansubs that were made while the show aired on japanese netflix. Dorohedoro makes every line count and there is tons of stuff to miss if you don't pay close attention. Later episodes can be confusing with how subtle some of the hints hidden in the dialogue can be. Each Episode is around 3 manga chapters which can make the pacing seem off at times since an episode can be made up of 2 unconnected chapters and 1 chapter that is part of a 2 chapter storyline. You can also read the manga alongside the anime to get a second perspective.
If you're wondering who the good guys are in this story. It's all very morally grey. Some wizards are assholes. Some are decent. Same goes for people. And both are fair game to be killed off by either party.
dorohedoro is SO GOOD!!!!! but its so hard to recomend it to people cause you dont want to give anything away since the surprize is part of the fun (its an EXPERIENCE just going in to watch/read it knowing nothing and imediatly see that freaky first scene).
FUCK YES! YOU GUYS STARTED THIS! Along with Oregairu, One Punch Man, Mob Pyscho and this, you guys are some of my favourite reactors.
