THANK YOU! That entire process of describing wet-on-wet where you paint, dry, redip, paint, repeat is EXACTLY what's been haunting me! Let's be real here: I don't want to wait weeks for a layer of oil paint to fully dry, so if I want to make something that has lots of colors (with only minor mixing between colors), but is still wet-on-wet one layer (alla prima?), then the inevitable question of "Well how do I prevent unintended mixing of paint, creating mud?" With just that 20 second explanation, you've verified what I wondered, and fixed my whole process. THANK YOU! Now I can more confidently move forward with many projects.
Mark helped me take my oils to next level. Explaining the color wheel video. Game changer. 🎉. Can’t afford his classes but PTL for RUclips.
Mark is hands down the very best oil painting teacher. There. I said it.
He transformed my acrylic painting. He transformed my drawing. This advice today Mark, so timely and perfect!
THANK YOU!

Makes perfect sense, Mark. Like focusing a camera, as you dial in, the details become more pronounced.
Absolutely profound, not just this video, but every single thing he has created. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge, Mark!
Mark's a legend...Best on YTube
Thank you, helpful as always! Love all of your videos!
A suggestion for a video, paint something using the correct value but with a different color. Thank you for sharing your knowledge, Mark
More great advice Mark... many thanks...
Always great.
Thank you so much!
Thank you sir. Very helpfull indeed
Ok if I am not looking at something I want to paint then ……. I understand the color/value part. Are you saying the layers affect the values?
Seems what your saying is that when it comes to details, do what is in the interest of the painting, or maybe that's the wrong interpretation.
