recently i've been falling into the downspiral of using cheats, first as a way to experiment with the items but now directly getting the postmarks using cheats, i thought i was doing that out of frustration at how some of the characters are 'seemingly' unfairly difficult. i let my frustrations take the better from me and i effectively stripped myself from a better experience as a consequence. this video kinda made me realize that the real reason why i was frustrated wasnt because some of the characters are "too hard", its because im frustrated that im learning to play too slow. instead of just using cheats to cut through the frustrations i should've given myself more time to learn each character and how they interact best in a given game scenario. to say things short, instead of cheating i should've been having fun learning the game instead. thanks a lot for sharing your experience, it really changed how i look at this game.

This heavily reminds me of a Tainted Jacob run where I got ipecac from a blind item with my reflection. I went through the entire ascent without bomb immunity until I got host hat from mom’s chest (had chaos btw)
Reminds me of the time I got the "It's The Key" achivement, but I misread and thought I was not supposed to pick up keys either so I went through run after run with only a single item room item until I got the achivement, then I saw the actual requirements and felt kinda dumb... but I also proved I did not need every item or pickup in the game to win!

I mean, i did reset a run because i had NO ITEMS ABOVE Q1 on WOMB 1 really early in playing (i hadn't even unlocked judas then)
