這是葛鬱金 , 台語叫粉薯 , 家裡每年都會弄 , 榨汁取粉 , 一斤通常可以賣250-300 , 夏天可以取一些粉跟黑糖加開水混合喝 , 消暑降火的 . 曬粉的時候如果有顆粒大一點的也可以當小粉圓煮粉圓湯喝 , 很好吃的
煮熟有很香的玉米味道！

形態
多年生草本，地下具有竹鞭狀肉質根狀莖；橢圓形葉子互生，帶革質；初夏開綠白色鍾狀花，花腋生，花柄常作兩分叉，頂端各生一花，下垂；暗藍色球形漿果，結果一般在8－9月份。
分布
野生的玉竹一般生長在山坡草叢或林間的陰濕處，中國大部分省分都有分布，例如：江蘇、遼寧、湖南、浙江，日本也有分布。
藥用
中醫上以根莖入藥，性平、味甘，是滋補強壯之藥，可以養陰潤燥，生津止渴，主治熱病傷陰、虛熱燥咳、消渴等症。
在化學層面，玉竹裡含有鈴蘭苷﹑黏液質等成份，能夠幫助消除胰島素抵抗，修復胰島細胞，增加胰島素的敏感性，進而調節血糖水平
