Also, if you want tighter cotter pins, why not drill the existing holes out just enough to occomadate the next size up cotter pin and then it will be more stable.
New Subscriber here Steve, I'm 63 used free weights for many years. I'm interested in this Total Gym. I've had many injuries throughout my career, lower back, upper back, shoulders, knees etc.
I have a Total Gym, which is good for light workouts. However, in my opinion, it isn't good to build strength or muscle, which is o.k., because some days, I just want to get a light work-out in, like when my muscles are still sore from lifting heavy weights.
It’s been a long time since this vdeo was posted but I am really curious to know if there is some kind of dolly system to roll the gym outside and inside?
That’s the one weak point of Total Gym IMO. You can do legs and even add weights/bands, but it is a bit limited for leg workouts. I’ll try to upload a leg workout video along with an updated review.
His first review 4 months ago is based on promoting Mike's Sliding Bench channel now called "Hybrid Resistance" - check it out. Mike started on the Total Gym three years ago and now he's seriously bulked with muscle mass!!
Awesome brother. Great honest review
Looking real strong in your back rehab! Coming up on 1 year with the machine I really love it! You nailed the top exercises
Amazing machine! I love my Total Gym. Keep up the hard work Steve it's working! You're looking night and day from your Day 1.
So happy for you and your recovery.
Love you brother but please use your safety pin on the left hand side, im a 63 year old who loves my total gym
I'm 63 too, 😆 🤣 how long have you been using the Total Gym? I used free weights for many years, this is new to me.

hook the handle across the other side it will prevent it from sticking to the wheel when you do the obliques
I'm picking up a Marketplace Fit with the cycle attachment and other extras tomorrow for $100! Great video. You've earned another subscriber.
Thanks for subscribing and congrats on the Total Gym find.
@@StevieRichardsFitness You're welcome! Sigh - the Marketplace deal fell through. The hunt goes on!
Sorry. That sucks.
No worries! I found a GTS for $300 the next day!

You can also use resistance bands with this.
I'm waiting for the Total Gym in the mail and so I ordered resistance bands also. hahaha
@@voidisyinyangvoidisyinyang885 Where did you get the resistance bands?

Nothing smooth on this model. The more expensive EVOLVE one may have a better wheel system. This one is not great at all.
What are the upgraded wheels you recommend?

Leg workout?

Don’t lie, I’m eyeing the 25th anniversary total gym right now but it looks like a gimmick.
Is it worth it? It looks cheesy!

It's not a gimmick. Just think of a calisthenics person using a pull up bar and a pair of dip bars.
