every time someone like Joseph or Nikki strikes, it looks like a beautiful extremely well choreographed dance. wow Raymond on the other hand looks like a bunch of disjointed Furious put together. (No diss to Raymond, he is a pioneer for glory kickboxing.)

the problem with daniels style is mainly the size of the ring..its a ,lot smaller than an mma cage, which limits movement etc..this is why MVP is so successful with his style in mma..he has a lot more space there, whereas in these kickboxing competitions the muay thai based styles seem very efective because its much easier to cut someone off and into a corner..if mvp fought these kickboxing competitions, it would be a lot harder for him as well..

I just realized...Duke Rufus is the commentator. His brother lost in a similar fashion to a MuayThai...and I can't believe he still doesn't give Muay Thai credit for those low kicks. Still salty because it doesn't take much talent to do low kicks. ROFL!
Not true about not needing talent for low kicks. I know very few who can land them well with power and good timing. There's also the art of setting them up properly so they don't get checked. They're the most dangerous weapon in kickboxing if used well.
Valtellini extremamente concentrado, muito inteligente, minou o forte do Daniels, as pernas... O deixou sem apoio e num golpe de extrema sabedoria fintou um low kick e mandou um high kick finalizando, sensacional.
Its really cool hearing Duke Roufous talking about the effectivenrss of lowkicks after seing the fight where his brother Rick got beat by savage lowkicks in the famous "the fight that changed kickboxing history" back in the day!
Rui He said striking discipline any ground base discipline is not relevant to standing/striking rules such as this one. And he's right Muay Thai is best standing discipline.
Holy shit, man. I really like Joe Valtellini's style and athleticism. He needs work on some aspects of his game, but he has a really great foundation. I wish he was as young as he looks because that would mean he still has tons of time to get even better and develop more, but he's 30 now. His decline pretty much just begun. Some guys can extend their peak until about 35 and the extremely rare ones can go beyond that. But, usually, after 30, you only have a few more good years in you. I wish him the best. Very chill and humble style. No theatrics and peacock feathers. Just pure, technical, and focused fighting. Really like this guy a lot. Plus, a very admirable career outside of fighting.
Bad and as can be quite boring to watch someone who is a 100% clear but can't stand in some fights I see because all the other fighters have done is just kick his legs.
Valtenllini made Daniels play his game -- false engagement in the first round to get Daniels chasing him and tiring out in the 1st round -- Come 2nd round, Daniels is sloppier and slower, Valtenllini's power and technique quickly overcomes Daniels in the 2nd round. Elevate.
Two excellent martial artists both of their styles have strengths and weaknesses, Joe utilised his strengths better and nullified his opponents strengths more effectively. I think Daniels showed huge heart though those keg kicks were hurtful.
I love this fight , beautiful work from joe . Everything just perfect . Them leg kicks certainly did their work and that relentless pressure . Not to mention superior hands
That low kick at about the 6:50 mark and then again at about 7:08! That's how you ground down an aggressive fighter. Thereafter you see Daniels trying to protect his leg throughout.
haxellmence Raymond Daniels remains very dynamic. spin kicks outta nowhere. the best way to fight him is the way what's his name did when he knocked him out. if that works..
That's the problem with point Karate and Taekwondo. In a real fight with someone pressuring you, it's very different to keep them off when you are used to throwing fast strikes with little power. Also, the crazy and high pace style doesn't suit a longer fight. You can throw basic leg kicks and punches much longer than you can throw the flashy jumping kicks.
If people are wondering how you beat the karate elusive style, this is how you do it. chin down, hands up, cut off the ring, work the body and legs. perfect gameplan, karate fighters are very fast so trying to catch them is suicide. chop his legs down take away his movement then you got him.

Because Dutch Kick boxing is much better than point karate in a kick boxing fight.
+Tre' Roney I completely agree
Joe has my absolute favorite style, and it works! Nice tight high guard, pressure, persistence, ring control and _leg kicks_ always.
Love me some Rufus commentary!
Defend, stay strong, pin point target, hit hard and then repeat....just perfect
I just realized...Duke Rufus is the commentator. His brother lost in a similar fashion to a MuayThai...and I can't believe he still doesn't give Muay Thai credit for those low kicks. Still salty because it doesn't take much talent to do low kicks. ROFL!
Not true about not needing talent for low kicks. I know very few who can land them well with power and good timing. There's also the art of setting them up properly so they don't get checked. They're the most dangerous weapon in kickboxing if used well.
shut up keyboard warrior ramon dekekrs owns muay thai and stick to ur anime
Great fighters. Great show. Thanks for sharing this video!
Joe is a national treasure.. so sad he stoped fighting
why did he
Such amazing striking techniques between both fighters
ok joe krogan
Valtellini extremamente concentrado, muito inteligente, minou o forte do Daniels, as pernas... O deixou sem apoio e num golpe de extrema sabedoria fintou um low kick e mandou um high kick finalizando, sensacional.
Raymond Daniels was unteachable, till this Italian job happened to him... tsk tsk tsk.
anyone can tell me what"s songs name on every breaktime ???
I heard Paradise by Coldplay
*SPOILER ALERT*
I loved the moment when Valtellini's high kick hits Daniels arrogant over over confident face. BAM! Right on the kisser.
oh man, i'm not gonna say that i'm better or he is not good enough but damn.... i f@cking HATE those "karate" styles ssssso much!!!!!
they were both karate. but i think daniels didn't adjust his point fighting style . stop hopping around trying to score and just box!
+DigitalDel1 isn't Danyels taekwondo?
+jaibo macias daniels is karate valentino was kickboxer
+Daniel Baker or at least that what i thought they said
Its really cool hearing Duke Roufous talking about the effectivenrss of lowkicks after seing the fight where his brother Rick got beat by savage lowkicks in the famous "the fight that changed kickboxing history" back in the day!
bro watched a shitty youtube video and thinks muay thai is the best martial art 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
muay Thai defeats any striking discipline
not true tbh
Muay thai+ good boxing beats any striking discipline. The only way muay thai loses is in mma cause of the smaller gloves and takedowns
for sure. Good hands with muay thai + ground discipline is the best way to go
Rui He said striking discipline any ground base discipline is not relevant to standing/striking rules such as this one. And he's right Muay Thai is best standing discipline.
What about Dutch Kickboxing?
4:41 how was that NOW a knock down? Can someone remind me of technical rules?
I have seen Daniels in area 47 and Austrian classics...always fit and fast as hell...good fight this both!
No matter what you say i am a muay thi fan,and watching those 5 sec one hit clinches hurt
What a fantastic execution of a game plan !
Losing the fitness of striker Raymond Daniels almost became a waste before rival Joe Valtellini
Lowkicks
Good or bad for kickboxing ?
Bad and as can be quite boring to watch someone who is a 100% clear but can't stand in some fights I see because all the other fighters have done is just kick his legs.
Samuel Spoons removing low kicks would be more entertaining to watch
Valtenllini made Daniels play his game -- false engagement in the first round to get Daniels chasing him and tiring out in the 1st round -- Come 2nd round, Daniels is sloppier and slower, Valtenllini's power and technique quickly overcomes Daniels in the 2nd round. Elevate.
Do you know how insanely super humanly durable you have to be to eat that final kick and not take an instant nap?
No me canso de ver cómo revientan a el Ramón este por mamon con los otros peleadores
Roberto Gutierrez de verdad o no ojalá i lo revienten otra ves sino me tragare mis palabras va a estar chingona la revancha
That was EPIC! Wow!
Why do you spoil the match in the description?
Two excellent martial artists both of their styles have strengths and weaknesses, Joe utilised his strengths better and nullified his opponents strengths more effectively. I think Daniels showed huge heart though those keg kicks were hurtful.
10:42
"not the Christmas celebration he was looking for"
This guy would take the UFC by storm
I love this fight , beautiful work from joe . Everything just perfect . Them leg kicks certainly did their work and that relentless pressure . Not to mention superior hands
Is duke roufus part of the commentary team?
That low kick at about the 6:50 mark and then again at about 7:08! That's how you ground down an aggressive fighter. Thereafter you see Daniels trying to protect his leg throughout.
More I watch this, the less Interest I have in MMA. I respect wrestling but can't resist that stand up fight charm
haxellmence Raymond Daniels remains very dynamic. spin kicks outta nowhere. the best way to fight him is the way what's his name did when he knocked him out. if that works..
Can they fight like that in the octagon (ufc) ??
