+Metehan, great. But don't forget that your mood is mostly determined by imbalance of certain chemicals in the brain: mood determines thoughts, thoughts barely affect mood. If you've already tried antidepressants, start exercising 5 times a week (force yourself to do it in the beginning), start eating healthy, look for a new hobby (like learning an instrument, a sport or a language), set a happy long term goal for yourself (like going traveling 3 years from now) and clean up your social life (by removing toxic people). If you fail to continue with one or some of these, then don't worry about it and just focus on the others. I did most of those things and they saved me from depression and addiction. Everything is worth of loosing in this life to get that which is eternal,it is hardest path, full of blockades in every corner, but once u realize yourself, there is nothing that can stop u,even nothing itself.
I wish it was Bukoski reading this. The way he spoke in his readings carried a certain energy to it that cannot be replicated just like the way he wrote.
I always think about these words of him when I feel like I don’t wanna live anymore and feel deeply hopeless it is unbelievable when you realize how he understands and shares it all I don’t have enough words to thank him one of the greatest souls...
RogiDream This is just under 3 minutes of the most important advice anyone can ever give you. Thank you for putting this up on youtube for the world to hear. Bukowski is an American treasure.
The greatest prison is always inside our minds. Mandela did 20 years and changed the world. If you do end up inside, serve your time, and change your life. It will not be easy, but it's the only life you have.
Something inside me broke long ago. And it will never get fixed. Sometimes I feel like I'm drowning, in those moments I come back to this and it makes me feel better, there's hope. But more than that, this makes me feel completely insignificant. At this point all I can do is feel gratitude. In the middle of the darkness, in a mostly hostile world, I have found unbelievable beauty and love. This moments are worth living.
You accompanied me years for now.. days i feel aweful, days i feel depressed, you helped me.. days i feel great and i laugh..... thank you for all buk! I hope they got full fridges, where you are now! cheers!
To all the young folks that insist you are raising yourselves and growing up alone...I hit 40 'bout a week ago... And these words, this poetry is timeless...This IS strength. This is the core of determination, no matter what it looks like or sounds like. (I have plenty of stories...you do not deserve here!) This is a man willing to go "all the way" for his passion, his art, his craft, no matter how people might view it from the outside looking in... Seriously, grow up and commit to something other than your next high. You have one life to live! Stop chewing on his words and live! You've missed the point completely! Ugh!
His read, his voice, his poetry is so rich. "Roll the Dice" was so powerful, I wept yet listened so many times, as he is generous and beautiful with his words. "You will ride life to perfect laughter". "Your life is your life, know it while you have it", powerful.
I’m an extreme person when I first heard this in my 20’s it made me feel powerful. I’ve pushed dangerous things bc I knew it was the only way I could heal and I don’t have long to live so I enjoy everything even if it kills me. I have insane faith in myself. Thanks Charles one day I will tell my story bc you’ve helped me.
Hey you reading this! I just want to tell you that no matter how hard your life may seem right now, you are gonna fight through it! You are gonna make it, whatever your dreams or goals may be, you are gonna make it! You only have one life, embrace it! Never give up, stay strong! And have a beautiful day!
It’s one of those rare videos were i want to like the video a zillion time. Everytime I watched it,it always completely enchanted me like its my first time watching it. Maybe it’s the voice that sounds like an old man who has experienced life and is sitting right next to me and speaking to me,imparting wisdom. Idk,i just can’t get enough of it
it is... and yet after knowing it, all you can know is that there is nothing better, but you can't recall it, just be there again. As Rumi says: I saw you and became empty. This emptiness, more beautiful than existence, it obliterates existence, and yet when it comes, existence thrives and creates more existence!
This is so true...spoken by someone who has experienced TRUTH! That passion for what you believe in will sometimes set you against the world and that is OK!
Whoever wrote this, you’re a beautiful soul. Thank you for sharing with my children my family myself and the people that are my friends that I will give it out to you. Thank you simply, thank you
This poem made me take all the important and hard decisions of my life. I knew it several years ago. I forget about it each time. But in a dark night, God might remind it to me, each time. At the good moment. And eather it makes me do, eather it makes me be proud of what I did. Full of hope
Charles Bukowski is nothing short of amazing. He suffered abuse as a kid and had a very hard life but would not quit no matter what. He just kept writing and writing until he finally achieved his dream. I like his down to Earth "tell it like it is" realism.
I rarely comment on YT but I can't help myself. Please don't delete or remove this video. I come back to this. To heal, learn , improve and rise. I know I will come back to this everytime I am down

"Your life is your life, don't let it be clubbed into dank submission ... ", it's like thunder, quick and massively influential. Damn it, it's Awesome.
I watched a documentary on Charles Bukowski the other night,I did not know his story as such. There were times when I thought he was a misogynist git and times when I was so overwhelmed with compassion for the suffering and humiliation he went through by the hands of his father and the lifelong scares that left.He determination and compulsion to write even when working long shifts in a post office that left him physically pushed to his limits, utterly moved me.Like many of us he was a complex mixture virtue and vice and I think this quote is beautiful from someone who really knew what darkness was.I will go and read some of his other writing as well.
Some poets prentended to live while writing things to please people, but Bukowsky lived before he pleased anybody, That is the best and authentic way to be a poet and a writer in my opinion. I love this guy.
The God's wait to delight IN YOU. I think this beautiful quote flew over most people's head. God is within you. Not somewhere far distant away and always there to tap into. Bless you Beautiful People.

Idk what led me here, but I'm glad it did. I needed this right now. Good luck to everyone in their lives. We sometimes forget ourselves and lose our way. Remember yourself and treat yourself kind.
I've lost a lot by going all the way, but I have found nearly everything because of it, the hidden treasure in one's own soul!!
YES
Everything is worth of loosing in this life to get that which is eternal,it is hardest path, full of blockades in every corner, but once u realize yourself, there is nothing that can stop u,even nothing itself.
I wish it was Bukoski reading this. The way he spoke in his readings carried a certain energy to it that cannot be replicated just like the way he wrote.
What a legend! Gave me goosebumps specially second poem!!
No doubt - he just lived it.

I always think about these words of him when I feel like I don’t wanna live anymore and feel deeply hopeless it is unbelievable when you realize how he understands and shares it all I don’t have enough words to thank him one of the greatest souls...
Everytime I feel like everything is falling apart I come back to this video. It makes me goes through life.
RogiDream This is just under 3 minutes of the most important advice anyone can ever give you. Thank you for putting this up on youtube for the world to hear. Bukowski is an American treasure.
I mistakely clicked on this video, wow i got chills listening to him
its not charles talking...nowhere even near...
There are no mistakes friend.
Facing some possible jail time in a few months, needed to hear this.
The greatest prison is always inside our minds.
Mandela did 20 years and changed the world.
If you do end up inside, serve your time, and change your life.
It will not be easy, but it's the only life you have.
If I was in jail I'd try to teach myself like Malcolm X. And train in calisthenics and become a strength-functional god who's smart as fuck.
You are what you make of your experiences - good or bad.
what did you do?
Jam Jox Mandela was a terrorist who changed the world for the worse. Look at south Africa now. You have Mandela and his ilk to thank for that.
This is exactly what i needed to hear.. Not just today, but for the previous 34 years of life.
Beautifully stated. I empathise deeply. I sincerely hope that we both find peace, in this world or the next. X.
Understanding him and his body of work, as a statement, this gives me chills every time I hear it.
wise words we all need to hear. great man.

Yeah i just hear them but i dont really do anything...
Yes, men are great, always have been. Do not let a female shape your life, never. Follow your dreams, not hers 👍 good luck kid

I've watched hundreds of inspiritaional videos over the years, but this one is by far the most truthful, and thus, the best.
You da man, Charles.
Well . . . this is pure ZEN . . . .a masterpiece . . . Charlie is going to be a kind of Saint some fine day . . .
You accompanied me years for now.. days i feel aweful, days i feel depressed, you helped me.. days i feel great and i laugh..... thank you for all buk! I hope they got full fridges, where you are now! cheers!
Post Office is still one of my favorite novels - even after all these years. there is only one Bukowski.
Something about his voice and mannerisms just adds to the profundity of everything I've ever heard from him
You will ride life straight to perfect laughter.... amazing
Ugh!
For those of you who disliked the video, you have no idea the kind of life Charles Bukowski lived. He is a true inspiration.
His read, his voice, his poetry is so rich. "Roll the Dice" was so powerful, I wept yet listened so many times, as he is generous and beautiful with his words. "You will ride life to perfect laughter". "Your life is your life, know it while you have it", powerful.
@@DeuceDevil It was lovely, but no worries.
And to you who wrote this: may you’ve gone All The Way on your journey. It’s been 4 years since you said this… I hope you’re still in this world.
Human beings beat death when they raise children ... The way Bukowski inserts "god" in this one is ... Just Sublime .
It’s one of those rare videos were i want to like the video a zillion time. Everytime I watched it,it always completely enchanted me like its my first time watching it. Maybe it’s the voice that sounds like an old man who has experienced life and is sitting right next to me and speaking to me,imparting wisdom. Idk,i just can’t get enough of it
I wrote these poems on paper and paste to board and read daily from February 2020 to now. It gives great enthusiasm everytime I read them.
The sheer potency of this exhortation cannot be matched.
Bukowski wisdom!
"and it will be better then anything else you can imagine"
Black Moon let's see
it is... and yet after knowing it, all you can know is that there is nothing better, but you can't recall it, just be there again.
As Rumi says:
I saw you and became empty.
This emptiness, more beautiful than existence,
it obliterates existence, and yet when it comes,
existence thrives and creates more existence!
Thank you simply, thank you
"you'll be alone with the gods, and the nights will flame with fire "
wow only Bukowski can write something so true and badass in the same time
This poem made me take all the important and hard decisions of my life.
I knew it several years ago. I forget about it each time. But in a dark night, God might remind it to me, each time. At the good moment.
And eather it makes me do, eather it makes me be proud of what I did.
Full of hope
The two best poems of the 20th century.
Just gave up every possession I have and moved across the country to chase a dream ...these words guide me
Charles Bukowski is nothing short of amazing. He suffered abuse as a kid and had a very hard life but would not quit no matter what. He just kept writing and writing until he finally achieved his dream. I like his down to Earth "tell it like it is" realism.
This poem helps me in the journey in sober life. Love it!

The author was an alcoholic.
I rarely comment on YT but I can't help myself. Please don't delete or remove this video. I come back to this. To heal, learn , improve and rise. I know I will come back to this everytime I am down
Heard this incredible piece and looked for it's writer. I was expecting an composed man who had life figured out. Turns out he was an alcoholic who had a rough life. Weirdly I find that comforting, seems more fitting in my opinion.
when i feel so sad i search to this video, because this video is the only way that i can "go all the way" which is makes me sad. thanks Bukowiski !!!
Happy this video can bring you some relief, keep strong when times are hard
This man has changed the perception of life towards individuality.most powerful and sane thought ever had in this kind of world, I'm so glad that I came across legend bukowski yes I'm glad
My heart clenched so bad. His words coupled with his calm mellifluous voice just hit the right notes. I found myself crying. Truly a gem.
"Your life is your life, don't let it be clubbed into dank submission ... ", it's like thunder, quick and massively influential. Damn it, it's Awesome.
Empowering Truth.....”the Gods wait to delight in you”.... how beautifully put. Hank’s depth of feeling is oft under appreciated.
Bukowski chokes me up and this reader was born to recite him. Thanks Buk. Always my god.
This man has saved me.
This is the best speech I've ever heard. I cried when I heard it
Here sent by Orion.
Upenda Sana hollywood is a good book .
Some poets prentended to live while writing things to please people, but Bukowsky lived before he pleased anybody, That is the best and authentic way to be a poet and a writer in my opinion. I love this guy.
This is brilliant. Thank you Hank
He was a beautiful beautiful man. Thank you for your words. "The gods delight in you" thank you charles🙏🙏
What an incredible find!
I'm very glad I clicked on this video.
I needed to hear these words.
Thank you, Charles Bukowski.
And that's why he's one of my favorite authors
How powerfully positive is the first poem. I'm sure it's reached people in the most profound way. Bukowski was the real deal and we miss him.
The God's wait to delight IN YOU. I think this beautiful quote flew over most people's head.
God is within you. Not somewhere far distant away and always there to tap into.
Bless you Beautiful People.
