Russian here. This video warms my heart, incredible to see such a well preserved Model 9. Ladas from this generation that still drive around our streets mostly look like a piece of crap 😁
What an absolute rarity & I thought all Ladas were exported back to Russia at some point but this is just simply amazing to see a 1990's Lada Samara 1.3S with 366 miles from new, must be the only Lada in the UK now I would have thought. I like the economy gauge & voltmeter on dashboard still working. Whoever will buy this car will hopefully look after it very well & keep it clean & factory fresh.
In the early 90s , I went to Birmingham Motor Show, sat in a new display Samara. Checking the quality of the Dash, I gently held the instrument hoid, which came right off in my hand. I vacated the Car rapidly. Surprised any survive.
This is definitely a beautiful modern classic that has been well preserved. It was a comfortable and fun car to drive. It was an economical and easy to reach car. We used to have his red car, we had fun times, it was the car I took on a long road trip for the first time.
That is because it entered production in 1996, when it was pre registered. And finally completed in 2022, when the factory received a delivery of wheels from manufacturer. 😅😅😅
This is amazing. It's quite a late one too. I thought Samaras were all extinct in the UK but there you go. This one will always be with us, though. What's particularly interesting is the £1500 part-exchange valuation of his 11-year-old Riva. That car must have been as exceptional as this Samara then, because used prices of Rivas dropped rapidly when they were current. And most 11-year-old mainstream cars in 1996 would in fact struggle to fetch much more than £500 in part-exchange situations.
I wonder how popular that’ll be at this time in the space continuum 🤔 grotesque in all its Beauty but I did like the lada Cossack jeeps I must admit good for a bad back not the cure but for getting one 🤣👍
@@hermanmunster3358 Yes basically delivery mileage. List price in 1992 was £5,800 which equates to £12,165.63 after CPI inflation adjustment, so in real terms it has depreciated. A poor investment.
@@KGFClassicCars I know your comment is ironic, but that doesn't change the fact that the Lada is simply a bad car that, regardless of its age and low mileage, will never be a classic or the object of someone's aspiration, maybe someone's nostalgia, but not for that price. Otherwise, I enjoy your presentation of the other cars that are truly exceptional examples of preserved classics.
Each to their own I guess. There are many people who would be willing to pay good money for nostalgia, or simply because they like that kind of car. I owned a FSO Polonez for nearly 7 years … it was trouble, it was slow, it was breaking down constantly, but every time I had a chance to take it out for a drive it put a big smile on my face. I also believe that once you understand and accept that it’s a classic car, or an old car, call it as you wish, you accept it strengths and also its weaknesses. Not every classic car owner dreams an Escort RS…. At least that’s my point of view, and kudos to KGF for keep bringing those brilliant cars in such a great condition!

Amazing one still survives, let alone this clean and low mileage!!
Yes indeed!
On my wish list
A must!
I like that car. It's a basic and simple, but lovely too. When I was young, there were two in my family 🚙😉👍
Great!

This is a survivor! Wow

True survivor!
I’ve seen the Lada saloon. But this hatchback is cool
Cool cars!
What a superb find, cheap motoring for someone.
Cheap? Try driving it for a few days, it's not worth £500 regardless of the low mileage
It's 9995 !
@@CreRay I know, I'm just saying it's not even worth £500 let alone 10k
Great car!
I think the owner has bought it, done 366 miles, and thought. That's it I'm getting the bus! 😂
Maybe!
I love classic hatchbacks!
So do we!
Cool!
Thank you!

If you knew Lada
Like I know Lada
Oh oh what a gal
Thank you for your comment!
Is that Lada from 1991 just by judging the way it looks?
1996
Wonderful! But the steering wheel is in the wrong place for Europien people! 😂😂🙂
No for the UK!
Is that car from the 80s or the 90s?
90's!

What the hell. Where this Samara been ?????
In hiding!
👌👌👌
Thank you!
Hmmmmmm..... 🤨
Hmmmmmm indeed? Possibly the ONLY living Lada which has not been repatriated, that has APPRECIATED in price. 🤔

Cheaper to buy a flux capacitor and buy one new.
If only we would buy more!
Anyone who has ever driven it knows that it is a piece of garbage regardless of the low mileage

@@johngreen6375 Thanks for the advice, I should really focus on more positive things in life than an overpriced old Lada...
