He's definitely well past his prime now. People can argue that James Harden or Russell Westbrook are not allstars because he hogs the ball so much and has even worse efficiency than a prime Carmelo , and is known to stand around on defense, but these ball dominant offensively focused players are still allstars since they force the defense to put so much effort into trying to stop them, and they also take lots of 3s which reduce their shooting percentages if not at least keep the defenses honest.

I think his Olympic stint is an exaggeration. He was open most of the time because of the ridiculous talent in that roster. He was a glorified spot-shooter for Team USA for the most part, and if you bring up how much he's scored with them, well, he's at the top in Olympic appearances.

I evaluate a player as good or bad by their stats and playing, not by accolades nearly a decade old. Dude can't even play so what makes you think he's good lol.
As for lebron, his 2014 quote was to the question "toughest player to guard man to man". That's all Carmelo knows what to do, play one on one instead of play team ball which are very different. No wonder he can't get signed. This is completely ignoring the fact that Carmelo has a long relationship with both of them. Lebron is infamous for having total control over his teams, why did Carmelo not go to the Lakers this or last year?
In the end, your flawed arguements are all based on accolades several years old by his friends. He hasn't gotten signed and he won't get signed.
