  • In this video we are hydro scrubbing out an apartment building with backed up sewer throughout the basement. The house was built in the late 1800's and a clean out was never installed throughout the house, so we had to cut the 3" copper sewer pipe to jet out the clog. we hydro scrubbed from the copper with 4000 psi of water to blow the sludge clog full of wipes, toilet paper, and condoms down the pipe and out to the city.

I have often said just how much I admire your customer service however, that takes the biscuit. Once again huge resect to you from here in the UK. And thanks again for a great video :) :) :)

      Yeah me either, that one was a wonder one! Was hoping it would be a clean out at the bottom of the stack with easy access but didn’t get so lucky.. The owner told us when we were finishing up that it was built in the 1870’s 👍

      the sprinkler guy did the plumbing (joking,) those were fairly normal long ago. probably used a carbide/diamond grit hole bit, or rectangle/square-cut a hole with grinder/cutoff wheel( common)

    Hey man, I dont mean to be disrespectful as I have huge respect of the work you do. But what I am wondering is if you don't get shit all over you at a job like that? I mean I can see your gloves but its hard to imagine that it doesn't splash or your tools get dirty and rub off on your clothes etc. Or is that something that you just get used to after a while?

    • @throttlebottle5906
      @throttlebottle5906 4 года назад +2

      flushable wipes are a lie..... do they break down eventually? yes, maybe in 30+ days of heavily agitated water or in small quantity through grinder lift pump. problem is, they bunch up together and never break down as there's not enough soaking time nor agitation...

      the stuff on the floor is too thick and will not flow well and worse in the low pitched city sewer, you'll possibly clog it and have to call them out too

    Why not hole saw, save money and time for your clients and yourself. Just seems like you cost your clients more money for a job which only needed a hole saw job to accsses the main line without a bend to go down and a pipe to replace also.

    I watch 5 other plumbers channels...they are from Australia, London, New Zealand, and elsewhere in Europe...I just wonder why American plumbers don't clean up after they clear the clog...? They use disinfectant detergents and everything. It really shows how different we are from the rest of the world..and not in a good way!!
