Those pumps in the lift stations are heavy. Take two people to lift those things out usually. I clean one out at a nursing home. The maintenance guy there said they are close to 300 lbs. each. Now that's are heavy dang pump.

A 'typical' sewer lift station has 4 float switches, the 4 black balls hanging from the wires. The fluid level would normally be kept between the lowest 2 float switches. For maintenance, you can manually turn on the pumps. I'm guessing the pumps were manually turned on, maybe for better filming, or someone thinking it would help the clog before he showed up. LOL.
sounded to me like it was broken right before the lift station, which is likely where they transitioned from the green SDR to schedule 80 for the tee and stub inside the pit. it may have just pulled apart assuming they had it hub connected. DOH

Do like I do for long stretches of checking lighting ect. Instead of walking back an forth. Have a cheap ass hotspot. A battery pack/phone charger. Plug in one of them $30 WYZE WiFi cameras. An long as your by your phone you have another set of eyes at the other end right next to ya. Granted different line of work an at peoples homes. So don’t have to worry about anyone walking by at a distance an stealing my shot ect. But works like a charm. If ya do it alone

That is a sewer lift pit with 2 pumps sounds like one or more is running that pit is pritty low why would a pump be running ?
