Thank you very much for these pictures. It brings mixed emotions. Positively as I see the interest and the work involved in bringing all these great photographs together. That was an amazing era. I lived to experience the end pretty much riding the PRSL from 1963 to the end having lived in Haddon Heights til the late 1960's. I rode the last #609 - conductor Harry (can't remember his last name). I have his picture. Haddonfield was a favored location of mine. During my "era" every PRSL train went through there as a station stop except of course 609/610 and the Millville service. Negatively I get absolutely disgusted that all the PRSL passenger operations except Atlantic City (especially Cape May County services) were left to die. To me the state of New Jersey is responsible and glad I don't live there anymore. Look at today's traffic jams a result of brain-dead mentality.
My Grandfather ran alot on these lines, I have many pictures and all his log books and schedules, all his overtime sheets , his uniforms, hats pins and he was also involved with the Merger!!
