Outstanding review! I am convinced that Mazdas are the best non-luxury (and non CVT) cars out there although many people say the drive and handling is comparable to luxury vehicles - close enough for us non-snooty people. The only other cars I am tempted by are the Ford Escape and the Volkswagen GTI but I keep going back to Mazdas. I wish they would come with a CD player - only Nissan is still doing that. My other concern is that the back seat don't lay flat and catch on the front seats. Someone commented on another review that you can remove the headrests and they will lay flat with the front seat adjusted for someone around 6 feet tall. Something that you might want to add to your reviews for your viewers in the northern tier of the country and Canada is that while Subaru is consistently rated the best for snow, Mazda is always a close second.
Man, I agree with this. All except the Ford Escape talk lol and it might be because my work has a Ford escape and I can’t stand it. And I think it looks cheap and boring! Just personal preference I guess lol
I have heard different things. Did it not drive well? Kinda clunky? I guess it has good power. I like the idea of buying American but the Mazdas are just so much better.
@@cbeech1631 it’s mostly the boring looks. Generic feel inside and out. And it’s a mid-level trim….Then when the vehicle shifts it always seems to be searching for the right gear.
I just leased a rhodium white 2024 carbon turbo i love it because it hold its own against compact LUXURY suv's very well on the road in looks & performance @ a much lower price!
23:07 The Signature trim has had a 360° camera system for years now, & the Carbon Turbo just got it for 2025 along with front & rear parking sensors which is very helpful & should've been included in the 2024 model as well. The Premium Plus trims & up now have the 360° camera system & front & rear parking sensors
Lots of people mention the CX-5 is outdated. I have a 2024 CX-5 Turbo Premium trim and I don't see how it is outdated in any significant way. It's not up to Tesla level tech but it's toe to toe with others in it's class like Rav4 CR-V. And Rogue. The infotainment system is newly updated to a 10.2 inch screen with wireless Apple car play and Android auto. It has a wireless charger. The sunroof is not panoramic but I actually prefer a non panoramic sunroof. Less to break and cooler in southern states like Florida. Has, ventilated seats, LED lights inside and out, rain sensing windshield wipers, directional headlights, the 2024 has USB-C ports. Mazda has been updating this SUV every year or so and really it has all the latest tech except for a hybrid option and of course it doesn't have anything like FSD.
They say that because it’s been out since like 2017. This car should’ve gotten a redesign by now. But thankfully Mazda updates it pretty often. So it keeps it fresh.
Great review Kenny! I know this is on the high side for pricing but it would be my choice. It has a premium look inside and out for sure. Hope that you are doing great!
Heads up display doesn’t work well only with polarized sunglasses, works fine with non-polarized/ regular glasses and sunglasses. I have the CX5 signature.
Top shelf look at the CX5. I agree the NA in the the 3 is plenty and the Turbo is more than enough. But it's required here. Nobody likes that sluggish feel. Although i have not driven the this in either iteration. 👍🏻👍🏻
Great video on the mazda cx5 turbo carbon have you ever driven a acura rdx AWD A-spec 2.0 turbo charge engine to compare to the mazda cx5 turbo to see the driving dynamic between both vehicles and decided which one you personally would owned
The crv quality is good, but it's a slug and no fun to drive. The cx5 looks a lot better, drives better, it's quicker. Important: quiet ride and comfortable for long drives.
I have the 2024 CX-50 with the regular 2.5 liter 4 cylinder engine. Performance wise, it’s basically identical to the RAV4 that I traded for it. Now styling wise, the my CX-50 looks WAY better than the RAV4s.
All CX-5 Turbo trims fill different niches and have been improved every year (incl 2024). After shopping around vs other cars that provide similar driving engagement (like X3, RDX, GV70, etc), the CX-5 holds it's own but at a lower price point. Others are mentioning Toyotas, CR-V's, Koreans, etc, but they don't provide the driving experience which I value (neither does CX-50). So, no it's not outdated but has aged like a fine wine with annual relevant improvements. For buyers wanting largest screens, etc but no 'feel', etc., there are plenty of options, just not the Zoom Zoom.
That color with the new interior looks awesome.
Picked up a '24 Turbo Signature in place of X3. Love the Nappa leather, 360° Camera(!), design, overall quality, and engaging drive!

you touched on stuff i didnt know the car could do (and neither did either reviewers!) super nice

You provide so much detailed and useful info, much better than everyone else out there, seriously.
Yes of course Kenny & this is my first vehicle.

Thanks to Mazda for giving us here in Europe engines without downsizing them. Great review as always. Greetings

👍🏻👍🏻
All review's that I see on Mazda's are good, but no touchscreen is what everyone complains about.
Awesome job Kenny.
I love the interior color of this trim but I wish it had stealthier exterior color options
The 360 degree camera is standard on the Signature trim.

Mazda has been impressing me.
I hear the glove compartment finally has a light. Wow.

I just bought this, and it makes my 2017 GT feel harsh and unrefined, in comparison.
Great job
I rented the cx30 awd turbo, lol, that car was a sleeper.
Cx5 is Better than Toyota Rav4

Do the dash lights flash like that everytime your driving? or is that a camera thing?
Because it's LED everything flickers when you use a camera
That is not an LED turn signal. 😂. The CX-5 is a great car, it's just stale
All of it has LED wtf are you saying 😂 I had a 2022 CX 5
@RealKevGotEm Tinted always make drama
I still don’t understand why Mazda came out with another trim level for the vehicle. It’s extremely outdated.
