I know the Queen is also a human being, but I still can't believe she's gone. Known by people of all nations, ages, ethnicities and cultures around the world, she was perhaps the most famous person in human history. No other legend will ever come close to her with her grace, her kindness and her compassion. My condolences to her from Japan.
She was fashioned and carried her entire life. It was very easy for her to be gracious and repressed publicly. Her life was a militaristic robotic life of endless routine and duties. She privately was humorous and excitable over specific things like animals and was a great mimic.
@@jasonguerra4255 I agree with both you and OP... she is kind, astute and certainly intelligent. Enough to make a man cry after hearing the news about her passing. She was truly an amazing figure who led her country through many hard times and will be missed.
This right here was when she absolutely won my heart. This meant so much to me and my family during such a hard time. RIP you wonderful woman. You will be missed.
Definitely. While our American "leadership" acted argued and spoke like drunken frat boys. True dignity and grace. From halfway around the world I was truly comforted by her address.
Same here. When she included atheists in her call to reflection and meditation, she did something I've never heard out of the leaders of my own country. I'm watching this tonight as well, reflecting on her words in those dark times.😢
The Queen has experience having lived through the bombing of Britain during WW II and as monarch has had to meet people who have experienced all kinds of tragedies and triumphs. She’s had tragedy and trouble in her own family and her son and heir has the virus. She has gone though this all with dignity - all her life. It shows and is genuine. In a world of the facile and cheap, dignity, resolve and true experience is a treasure.
Waddles Please, don’t continue spreading the idea that the virus is “not so bad”. By saying this, you downplay the immense sacrifice and grief that has come to pass during this time.
I remember her for this. This video was what the world needed in it's darkest hour and her words, this speech, is in my opinion, the greatest speech in this modern century at this moment.
I also agree. I’m an American from Santa Monica, California with no family or historic connection to the UK, but I came to admire Queen Elizabeth II for her impact on international relations. You’ve got to admire her work growing and keeping the Commonwealth together as a family of nations. Has any other empire throughout history reconciled in such manner with the nations that they previously conquered? What an example for human progress! Her referring back to her 1940 speech-and the photo!-alone would have demonstrated the vast scope of her own life experience, and a perspective that gave reassurance and encouragement. Rest in peace, sweetest Majesty. Flights of angels sang thee to thy rest.
@ you are right. Here in the UK there are millions living in poverty. Over 4 million reliant on food banks and 1.3 million children have to go to school in the morning without having had breakfast. The NHS which has faced decades of cuts now have to cope with this pandemic whilst this lady, the richest woman in the world with countless estates all paid for by the taxpayer and hundreds of servants has contributed ABSOLUTELY NOTHING of her enormous wealth to fight this. I have more respect for a nurse on shit pay dealing with this on the front line than I have the Queen or any of the royals. A lot of people in this country want a republic and you can see why. In the last 24 hours there have been over a million applicants for Universal Credit, a hand to mouth pittance of money paid out to people who have lost their jobs. Talk is cheap and the royals are full of shit
educate yourself every issue is not going to be resolved in an instant dont use the queen as a scapegoat she has done more for this country than you could do in 20 lifetimes
She also refers to people who have secummed to corona, those we wont see again untill we are in heaven. "We'll meat again". The title means "We will see each other again", which refers to the mobilization in WW2 and the departure of the soldiers to the front. Their families don't know when they will return - or even return, or see each other again in heaven. The song was often performed to departing soldiers in both the United Kingdom and the United States.
Of all her speeches, this is the one I will never forget. It was the one light provided on the horizon as the rest of the world descended into bickering, finger-pointing, and conspiracy theories. This speech made me cry then, and it still gets me a little bit. As an American, I will miss her so much.
Same here. As a hospital chaplain on covid floors through some of the worst days, this address was a balm..literally got me through..when our own leaders were acting like a bunch of adolescent buffoons.

@Sukan Are you expecting her to be running round saving people's lives? No crisis is ever solved by panic or pessimism. I know the situation is not good but it would be stupid to deny the nation some comfort in the knowledge that we will get over this.

"We will meet again" is undoubtedly a subtle yet deliberate reference to the classic 1939 British WW2 song by Dame Vera Lynn, "We'll Meet Again". It's no coincidence that the Queen said these words. Her Majesty was 13 when that song was released. She's gracefully reminding us of the last time we were asked to unite in such a gravely testing time for our nation. Dame Vera Lynn is still alive, by the way: she just turned 103. Hope endures.
@JazzyGooner What would have been "original," in your view? Would you have preferred for her to spit some bars? It's never "unoriginal" to pay homage to the past. Her Majesty evoked the memory of our country's past great crisis without referencing it directly... that's the definition of subtlety.

The Queen works at Buckingham Palace which is the Prime Residency for the British Monarchy and British Leadership, And settles at her Windsor Family Retreat; Windsor Castle, or her Private Family Retreat; Sandringham Palace. I remember the early weeks of the pandemic when I, along with many others, was experiencing horrendous anxiety and depression in the face of lockdowns and an uncertain future. I felt isolated and alone. Though I'm not British, I watched the Queen's speech and felt a sense of hope and comfort. I had to come back and rewatch it after hearing of her passing. May her family be comforted in her absence as they grieve her loss. Thank you, Queen Elizabeth, for the comfort and peace you gave me and the world during such a hard time.

You DO realize that she's NOT concerned about us ( mankind)?? Right?
Ellenor Malik I think she’s into occultism. John Dee was the one who coined the term “British empire” when he worked with a previous queen. They passed the knowledge and faith down
I'm American, but man, did that still help me. Her Majesty reassured me more in less than five minutes than what our entire government over here has done. No politics, no business, just doing what is best for the peoples of the world in this troubling time. Hats off to both Her Majesty and her staff.

Her Majesty's words were a great comfort and made me a 'monarchist from afar.' Thank you for giving me some hope at a rough time, Your Majesty. R.I.P.
This speech meant so much to me and moved me to tears. In England we stood on our doorsteps and sang we'll meet again, and heard the voices of our neighbours. At that time I had my first child, we were alone and I didn't know when friends and family would meet and hold my baby. She always knew the exact words to say. I feel that she somehow would have the right words for today. The double rainbow over London to talk excitedly about new beginnings and to tell us she had met her spiritual goals and was on the bridge to a new world. Calling us to give a time to reflect and learn but also have faith in the new beginnings ahead. I feel she would've somehow knew exactly what to say to encompass everything we were feeling and touch our hearts. Thank you for being our Queen. RIP.
@Viking Warrior god save the queen, she ain't no human being, totally immortal, generations she's been seeing surviving the cough, life support ain't off, it's a common endeavour, times now are rough she's a monarchist but she ain't from 1820, wanna see her age? well, the numbers, she got plenty met with some leaders, travelled round the earth, many different places, from washington to perth had a global empire, now the world's on fire, metaphorically but her age can still get higher
Sadly, singing “God Save The King” didn’t work for her father when his health began to decline. Then-Princess Elizabeth was out of the country when she heard the news and was overcome with grief at being told she was suddenly queen and had to return home immediately.
God save our gracious Queen, Long live our noble Queen. God save the Queen. Send Her victorious, Happy and glorious, Long to reign over us, GOD SAVE THE QUEEN 👑🙏.
Every time you sing god save the queen she gets an extra 10 years to her life span......so by that math she’s got an extra 12648859 years just from me alone
I feel a lot more addressed, consoled and motivated by Her Majesty's message than by those of my own country's politicians. Let's all hope this storm will pass in the near future!
Here in Australia this speech gave me more hope then any other leader and I wish more leaders actually spoke to the heart, as did the Queen in this speech. Her strength was inspiring and I am no royalist or non royalist, but rather looked at her behaviour and values and it depresses me that she is gone, because it feels like another constant, another stable force, has gone and so much of what was constant and what was stable and what remained certain has gone in the past few years. She acknowledged the pain, uncertainty and fear we all faced yet did so in a stable, reassuring way with words that were honest of the grim reality but still gave hope.
That's because she has access to healthcare we don't. Look at her cousin Philip (also her husband) - he's alive and kicking at 98. That's not natural. This is what unlimited money and power gets you for simply being born to the right people.

The Queen has experience having lived through the bombing of Britain during WW II and as monarch has had to meet people who have experienced all kinds of tragedies and triumphs. I’ve never heard it until now, when I was younger I was convinced she had to legally not talk
That why I watched it haha
@@XXX1234ABC LOl 😂😂😂😂😂
With all the memes going on about the queen's immortality, the "we will meet again" in the title really aged well.
I guess she really aged well too
The memes were around before this video
and the "Children take from homes for their own good" part.... hmmmm
@MI Five It’s time to take your medicine.
This is why she is the queen. The best speech any leader could ever give. Beautiful.
Nah she'd still be queen even if she was horrible, no disrespect to her, but the monarchy should end
Thats not how this works, but sure
@@aarondowd7346 why though she has no power
I am still waiting for the speech apologizing to Andrew's victims. It is interesting that all her descendants are sociopaths.
She didn’t write that shit. Puppet master
RIP.
I feel like this lady is going to outlive me and I’m 25.
Her mom lived till 101 so the queen will probably live a lot longer
93 years old and as strong as ever. God save the Queen.
Do you really think there is a God going around choosing who to save?
god lol probably see ghost
Derek Mckeown
Dude just let them be.
Actually I'm not English, so pls explain ot to me.
She is one amazing woman long live our majesty
Hearing her speaking out makes me feel like I'm living during a world war..
Hanaa Fekry It is a world war though, only not the kind we are generally used to
Don’t say that, knowing 2020 it’ll happen in the next week
Because we all are
I was thinking more in the U.S President speech from Dawn Of The Dead Remake
Unfortunately we are.
"We will be with our friends again. We will be with our families again. We will meet again."
We will indeed.
RIP
She sounds exactly what I pictured a queen would sound like
same bro this is the first time i hear her
I mean, you’re not wrong
you must be white
Sun Park I’m so confused on the reason behind this
keirfree senior never heard anyone by that description before but I’ll take your word for it
Who knew singing God save the Queen actually works 😂
@Viking Warrior god save the queen, she ain't no human being, totally immortal, generations she's been seeing
surviving the cough, life support ain't off, it's a common endeavour, times now are rough
she's a monarchist but she ain't from 1820, wanna see her age? well, the numbers, she got plenty
met with some leaders, travelled round the earth, many different places, from washington to perth
had a global empire, now the world's on fire, metaphorically but her age can still get higher
@Viking Warrior but my rap
Sadly, singing “God Save The King” didn’t work for her father when his health began to decline. Then-Princess Elizabeth was out of the country when she heard the news and was overcome with grief at being told she was suddenly queen and had to return home immediately.
God save our gracious Queen,
Long live our noble Queen.
God save the Queen.
Send Her victorious,
Happy and glorious,
Long to reign over us,
GOD SAVE THE QUEEN 👑🙏.
@John Buffalo I am 97 you're a brat
Some british will say you're a child. Everyone else in this mad world will understand you. As a brazilian, I felt like you.
Same :3 + she said something that my grandmother would if she was alive
John Buffalo I am 97 you sound like an idiot is that the case?
@@marendur Dude, dont throw us British in there with a cockwomble please. Thanks.
Couldn't have put it better myself.
Why did the words "we will meet again" hit so hard
Because The Queen understands the power of unity and being together.
Those words hit hard because you miss your family. We all do. She cares. some times we all need to cry to get that stress out. So cry if you need to.
Maybe she’s referring in hell
"We'll meet again, some sunny day."
Because we been like this for almost 3 weeks and everyone wants to get back to normal
Teared up when The Queen mentioned her sister.
RIP Magaret

I can't believe she's turning 94. She looks and sounds so much younger. And she still does a great job. I look up to her.
She killed Diana also... So u know not the purest one either
You mean 10000000094?
That's because she has access to healthcare we don't. Look at her cousin Philip (also her husband) - he's alive and kicking at 98. That's not natural. This is what unlimited money and power gets you for simply being born to the right people.
@@aliasavova5950 Wrong. Charles killed Diana. But Betty definitely knew.
Marex Kai my great grandma is still alive today and she’s 104 so being 98 is natural if you take care of yourself than you could live longer
