Definitely love the "brush" your hubby made. It's so unique and lovely that I now know what I'll be doing with some of my lovely cool drift wood. Thank you, first time here. Hello from upstate New York.
Awww yay! 🤩 Thanks for your comment and it is wild to me that you’re finding me all the way from NY! Isn’t it such a cool idea, amazing what you can do with driftwood.
I’ve actually watched someone put paper in the bottom of a box & rolled marbles dipped in paint around. The toggles rolling around reminded me of that technique, but I love the toggle effect
I'm always afraid of abstraction, and it's not for myself, it seems to be for others, you know when someone looks at you and asks "What is that?" 😅 But since I'm breaking down walls this year, I think I'll work on that too.🤍🤍 I love your works! 🤍🤍
I am so with you, abstract is so tough for me as well! I jump way too quickly to “editing” when I paint so turning off my brain is key! Can’t wait to see you explore abstraction and yay for breaking down walls!! Exciting!!!! 🧡🥳
I truly empathise! When I paint deliberately, it’s very precise, fine & controlled. But when I use uncontrollable or less controlled mediums, I create stuff I love & enjoy more. Brushos, the Gelli plate, alcohol inks, watercolour, Distress Oxides & Spray Stains - I love them all! Art is so much more fun to play with when I can switch my brain off & just let the art tell me what it wants to be. I hope you can find that joy
Some really good ideas here. And that hand-made brush is so unique! Would have been interesting to see these effects made by diluting the paint slightly, or doing the same effects but with semi-transparent black. Like a comparison. You got me thinking creatively now... 😊 Thank you!
Ohhhh yesss!! I will add these to my list to try next time!! You’re so right, more depth would make for some beautiful marks!! LOVE that I could spark some inspiration!!! 💥🥳
Doing exercises like this helped me to learn that I’m not an artist. Even when I got some technical skill, I could never find any of the creativity or the fun.
Wow…. This was fun! I’m Cecilia from Sweden and only just found your channel and I was instantly inspired! It’s late evening here, when I look at what you share. I can’t get to my studio now, have to sleep. So tomorrow I’ll grab my crutches and try to go up to my studio to make some marks!😂 I’m bipolar and slowly recovering from my latest deep depression… your film gave me some new hope to start painting again. Thank you! 🙏🏼🩵
That means so much that I can inspire you!! Honestly art is absolutely therapy and I hope you have found some motivation to just start again, even if it's just 15 mins! Sounds like you've been dealt some rough cards, so it's amazing to hear you're planning to get back into it. Keep me posted on how you get on with making some marks! 💛🍂
Love them all Jasmine. Love your enthusiasm and experimentation. It is all about having fun and trying the "new". Being yourself is good too. What a beautiful husband you have. Such a lovely thing to do, making that fab brush for you. Blessings from Australia ♥️🇦🇺🦘
Oh Jayna, thank you so much for your lovely comment! And yay for Aus, we're neighbours! You are so right, art IS all about having fun and trying things out. Absolutely the most thoughtful present hey, I have another one he made me which I can't bring myself to use! 🍂💛
So which random object did you like the most?! 🤔
My fav was the little toggle having its own playtime. So fun!
Hahah me too, a life of its own hey!! Thanks Mum 🥰 will have to try this with Ivy!!
Very fun way to loosen up!
Yes! So fun!!! 🤠
The handmade brush and the toggles ❤
Yesss how cute is the handmade brush!! And toggles are so much fun to spin about! 🧡

Ahhh yesss you are so right, great idea, I remember my daughter doing this at pre-school! Xx

Can’t wait to try this. This is fabulous
Ohhh do let me know if you try it! Always keen to hear more weird objects to test out!! ✌🏼
@@jasminekroezeart I sure will 🥰

@@jasminekroezeart oh, he is a real gem. I think I would feel the same way too. Sort of a shame to "dirty it" 😊 💚🌿
This is fabulous ❤❤
Aw yay!!! I will make some more!!
Looks excellent 👌 I am using marbles ! Well trying to lol
Ohhh fun!! Always fun making a mess 😂
Way cute. My hands are always messy!
It’s a tie for me…The clump of dried paint and the driftwood brush
Haha the dried paint clump is a delightful surprise hey! And agree, that handmade brush is so special! 🥰
How do get that ink off your fingers? Nice effects you are showing.
I actually just used black acrylic paint and watered it down a bit, maybe 25% water or so. It washed off fairly easily! ✌🏼
I hate paint on my hands! I started wearing small latex gloves so they fit snug and it’s so much better 👌🏻
Argh yes I think I hate the feeling of gloves worse than paint on my hands!!! 🫣
