Excellent video. I have a developer background and am currently transitioning to UX design. Your tips have really helped me focus and tailor my resume toward the specific UX fields I want to break into. Many thanks from the US!
Thanks for some much love, attention and patience. I always watch your videos and every time I am amazed by the amount of knowledge you bring to us! Congrats on your book too! I've finished reading it this week :)
Thank you for the tips these are useful! I see, that even designers with a background in IT and many relevant skills, can still be wordy. I wonder what, people like myself who try to transition from a different industry, can fill the resume gaps with, to make these noticeable!
I am new to the ux and II industry, and I work to hard to become one. I just wonder if is it still worth it to become a UX II designer in the future. I am afraid all my hard working goes in vain studying the wrong field and I will not find jobs for the future
I'm so confused and demotivated right now what to do Finish my Portfolio on a Building Block level(Bootcamp teaching on Surface level not explaining Hows & Whys) or get an internship to learn more (Science & Technique whys & how's CRITICAL THINKING at a strategic level) faster with practical experience but again my portfolio is Completed till Information Architecture and Some random DAILY UI Designs will i get an internship on this which I've done or just go with the bootcamp and side by side learn in Depth I was thinking to get an internship or do freelance coz I left my Job 3 months ago I'm doing nothing My bootcamp Sessions happen every Saturday Sunday 4 hours and in the week time I have a Mentor please help me to decide what to do
Very loaded question, what is actually the problem here - is it that you can make a decision between the two things? Think long term - which of them will contribute to your career growth for the next 2, 3, 5 or more years? do that. On portfolio: whatever you have in your portfolio is the work you will be hired to do - if it's UI then the best you can get is UI design, etc.
Binging all your videos as I dive into the industry. I've got a non-traditional background in UX and these resume videos are extremely helpful!

I'll focus on learning more & more with an internship to gain experience :)
Tailoring your CV as you present it makes sense until... you find that 99% of the UX jobs out there want you do EVERYTHING
