    Microsoft, Windows, software design in general, and humanity as a whole, has peaked with Aero. Nothing else comes even close (especially the modern flat style).

      @@ThatRandomToast And the Windows 8 Aero Lite style is also still fully intact in Windows 10 (and used for High Contrast), it's just the theme file is missing. You can get it to work simply by copying the "Aero" theme file, renaming it to Aero Lite, and changing a couple reference lines in the file in Notepad to restore the theme file, and the Aero Lite theme will be selectable just like any other theme and work perfectly, no third-party downloads or anything.

    I still hope MS will bring back Aero in Windows 12

  • @advmx3
    @advmx3 9 месяцев назад

    Actually Windows 10 and 11 uses Acrylic and Mica as their themes, which both are horrible.
    In Windows 11 especially there's a wide limitation of colors, a lot of them not being supported by Windows, and no matter wha tyou do and change, the colors don't give you the same transparency as Windows 7 or 8 did, it feels useless most of the time, and some colors works way better than others.
    Theming-wise, Windows XP had the most beautiful one after Windows 7. Aero in Windows 7 is a pinneacle of beauty and runs fast and doesn't use too much GPU. It's very well made and even today if you install Windows 7 on a PC, anyone who uses Windows 11 will look at it and say: Wow, this is beautiful, how can I apply this theme to my Windows?
    And guess what? You can't!
    I WISH Ms would just releade all older themings on new windows versions for free, as an option that you just change, reset the explorer and bam, you have wathever design you want. That would be awesome.

    Older Windows is better than newer Windows the look and feel is the main asped Windows 8/10/11 are junk if I had an older gaming desktop I would still be on Windows 7 gaming on emulators rather than Steam I must admit. I will never let the digital occult win at any costs PERIOD under consumer rights of the customer rights of the customer there's just something amazing about going back to older versions of Windows even in the current year the Start Menu was simple and easy to lose but Microsoft HAS to make it more complicated than what it was if Microsoft wants to keep their reputation I highly suggest going back to the old route before they embarass themselves and make Linux replace Windows in the near future which still has classic and simple start menu themes.
