The Bhagawat Puran describe Vishnu’s avatars as 24, though 10 are most known and celebrated avatars of Vishnu, within the Vaishnavism traditions of Hinduism are Matsya, Varaha, Vaman, Kurma, Ram, Krishna, Parshuram, Narsimha, Buddha, Kalki.
