Hey Tony, thanks for watching my friend! It was a fun video to make, even if I didn't catch a lot of fish in it. I hope you're having a good week, my friend! 🙂✌️🎣
Awesome video Kev, solid hooksets on those fish! The fish that bent the hook was aggressive haha. Also I’ve never seen AZ canals have strong current/waves that’s crazy! Good to know when to fish when a storm is approaching 👍🎣🔥
Yo Kev!! Thanks for watching, brother. Yeah man, that 2nd fish attacked that fly haha... it was a big one! Hope your week is going well, my friend! 🙂✌️🎣
Hey brother! Super interesting episode! I noticed at 2:44 that something surfaced just as you turned your GoPro? That was a nice CARP! Haha and the bent hook! Sorry that happened dude! Do you bend it back in place or replace the fly altogether? Those winds were strong haha, swells in the canal, WHAT!? It's crazy how those fish behave during pre, intra and post frontal conditions. Really cool to compare how the striped bass I fish in saltwater up in Canada is much different. Seems like the stripers will go into a feeding frenzy during intra and post frontal. Then again, they are tidal saltwater fish. I never would have thought though, that before watching the episode, that these fish weren't going to be hungry and plentiful. I really thought with the barometric pressure changes, these carp would be fired up! Good learning episode here, thank you for posting this my friend! Have a great week! 😁🤜🤛🐟🎣
Hey Brody! Thanks for tuning in and dropping a comment! Yeah man, that was a big common carp that broke the surface for something at 2:44... Pretty sweet! Those hooks are so thin, once they bend, I'll bend them back, but only use them for panfish after that. Overall, this was a pretty fun video to make. Each day of fishing seemed pretty poor, but once I started putting all the days and content together, the story ended up coming together. I appreciate you and your support, my friend! I'm glad you have your kayak back ... Can't wait for more Ambitious Angler Adventures! 🙂✌️🎣
I can say with certainty that Arctic Grayling get hungry during rainstorms. Spent a couple days up in Alpine over the summer and caught half my grayling during the 3 hour rainstorm.
Yeah man, I think Rainbow Trout get aggressive during storms as well (lots of good days fishing for trout during storms). I think the research says fishing is generally good on the day of storms, it's just not as safe haha. 🙂✌️🎣
Great 3 day reel. Loved those whitecaps!
Yeah, seeing white capped "waves" in the desert canals was pretty cool haha!
Another great video and footage Kevin, interesting to watch the video, thanks, thumbs up and tight lines.,
